I am fairly confident that he vets the kill list well and nobody can reasonably argue Awlaki didn't need to go, but to argue that due process doesn't mean due process is farcical and sets a terrible precedent. They could have easily tried him in absentia for treason and had a judge and jury sign off on the kill, at least keeping our constitutional rights in place.
