M23 Rebels Clash With Government Forces in Eastern DRC

First clash in almost six months

Fresh fighting has erupted in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo between the army and rebel group M23 -- the first clash between the sides in nearly six months.

Initial reports said the two sides fought for several hours Monday north of Goma.
