PETA said it's been targeted, too. Politico reported that Jeffrey Kerr, the general counsel for the animal rights group, sent a letter on Thursday to the Treasury Department alleging that PETA was unfairly audited on three separate occasions: Between 1990 and 1992, from 2003 to 2005 and in 2009.

Anybody want to help grill a few hundred hot dogs across the street from PETA's national HQ later this year?
Seems unlikely, that is three audits by three administrations, all before 2010-2011 when the IRS reportedly started denying/delaying Tea Party applications.
I'm not saying they weren't targeted, but if they were its a separate instance of IRS targeting.
Hey any PETA member: Have you ever entered a biker bar and poured paint on anyone wearing leather?
Huh?
Hello?
Anyone there?
