President Obama Going to Texas to Visit Places, Talk About His Jobs Proposals

The president's at it again, visiting places to look at things.
President Barack Obama will travel on Thursday to Austin, Texas, the first stop in a new series of day trips designed to draw attention to policies and programs that help spur the economy, and build support for his economic policies, the White House said on Sunday.
In Austin, Obama will visit a high school and a technology company, and will talk with entrepreneurs and workers about proposals he made earlier this year to boost jobs and training.
The national unemployment rate is 7.5 percent, a low during President Obama's time in office. The unemployment rate in Texas is 6.5 percent. Maybe the president should stop talking and take the time to listen?

policies and programs that help spur the economy
Want to help spur the economy? GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY AND LET PEOPLE ENGAGE IN ECONOMIC ACTIVITY WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK PERMISSION AND TAKE ORDERS FROM CLUELESS GOVERNMENT MORONS! FUUUUUUUUCK YOOOUUUU!
Maybe the Jets can go to Baltimore and talk about how to spur football success.
"Hi, my name is Rex Ryan and I'm here to help."
the really sad thing is that Rex Ryan is far more competent at his job than O'bomber is at his.
When in doubt, campaign.
Campaigner-in-Chief, up! up! and awaaaaaay!
Does his caddy travel with him?
Abject buffoon takes day trip to extreme leftist island in Texas. Talks crap, plays golf, and uses the personal pronoun 25,000 times in 12 hours.
In other news...
Is Michelle going to Paris to teach them how to cook?

I'm sure they mean "talk to," not "talk with." Maybe he could spend most of the time listening and might learn something... nah! He already knows everything and can do a better job of anything than anybody else.
Something I always suspected when living there: Austin in top 10 in traffic, Houston not even on list. When Obama came into town the whole fucking city shut down. Maybe this time he'll be smart enough to not fly in during rush hour.
Why would he care about that even a little?
Remember when Clinton shut down IAH to get a haircut? Fucker. I was stuck there.
Back when I would take the 105 to the end in the 90's, Air Force One always seemed to be parked at LAX.
The average time spent in traffic per year is 42 hours? I do that in a month. Can't wait for those robot cars.
I'm surprised Tampa-St.Pete never makes those lists. I suppose there are enough people who don't go over the bridges to lower the average.
Wow, Dallas didn't even make the top ten. I'm impressed.
Shutting down whole cities makes these guys feel powerful and important. There's a reason those motorcades always shut down traffic during rush hour.
Well how else are the "little people" to know that their God-King is in town?
It's in conjunction with DHS' purchase of 1 million metric tons of Vaseline.
He must have read this liberal apologist tract about how Texas backed into getting it right.
Its a decent book, but like I say, its written from the viewpoint of a liberal desperately trying to convince, say, Thomas Frank, that Texas is really a pretty great place in spite of all the mouth-breathing that gets reported. The essential lesson is that Gov. Goodhair ain't that bright, but he keeps getting re-elected because (a)he's not really able to do much to the average Texan and (b)he's a much better politician than his presidential run showed.
I am in complete awe of the trolling he's doing to blue states right now. Spend $20K on an ad buy, get local pols pissed, they make it a national news story, he gets all the publicity he could want for his visit. It's goddamned genius. He did it to CA and Brown, and just repeated the trick in Chicago.
I wonder who on his staff came up with it, because it wasn't him.
It makes me sorta like the guy.
Whoever it is, they should be the next Karl Rove. Can't you just see it:
"Rick, we want you to go out there and be your Ken-doll, asshole self. Just stay focussed on bashing anyone who ain't Texan or an employer who can move to Texas."
More collectivist drivel and praise for the welfare state from the shitweasel. I am sure Austin will eat it up.
First: I think that 7.5 is a complete fabrication.
Second: Maybe el jefe will learn a lesson or two from his tri... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I couldn't even finish thinking that without laughing out loud.
You mean El Presidente. El Jeffe is Matt Welch.
He needs to start campaigning now if he wants that 3rd term... oh wait.
Even if he was running for office ... TEXAS?
OK, maybe he's trying to influence congressional races around Austin. Maybe.
Headline should be "Obama begins his 8th year on the campaign trail by going to Texas..." That's assuming he has only been campaigning since early 2006, which could be a little off.
