Las Vegas Officer Relieved of Duty "With Pay" After November Shooting
"Pre-termination" hearings to follow to determine final status of cop who shot a man in the leg
A Las Vegas police officer involved in a shooting at Hollywood Park last year was relieved of duty last week, according to a spokesman.
Investigators said on Nov. 11, 2012, Officer Jacquar Roston, 36, responded to the park after a woman called for help. They said the woman claimed her ex-boyfriend had hit her and damaged her vehicle. They said that when Roston arrived at the park, the woman and her ex were inside a car. They said Roston removed the woman from the car and eventually shot her ex-boyfriend in the leg.
