Women Get $4M For Wounds Inflicted by LAPD During Dorner Search
Unfortunately, the cops themselves won't pay
The city of Los Angeles will pay $4.2m (£2.8m) to two women shot by police as they searched for an ex-policeman on a murder spree.
Margie Carranza and her mother Emma Hernandez were delivering newspapers on early on 7 February when officers fired about 100 bullets into their car.
Ms Hernandez was shot in the back and Ms Carranza sustained minor injuries.

What would be great is those police seeing some charges.
Someone also suggested the cops get to sit in the cab of a pickup while the two women get all sorts of ammo to blow holes in the cab! And the women get to keep it up until they just don't feel like it anymore.
I like that idea.
Hey, you can't put a price on officer safety
So - Is this coming from the officers' paychecks; a reduction in the LAPD budget; or are the taxpayers just going to eat it directly?
