Commander of US Pacific Forces is Worried About North Korea's Weapons Expansion

But says the US is prepared to intercept North Korean missiles

WASHINGTON, April 9 (UPI) — The commander of U.S. Pacific forces Tuesday told the Senate Armed Services Committee he is worried about North Korean arms expansion.

"North Korea's proliferation of weapons systems, including potentially missile technologies or nuclear technologies, very much concerns me," Adm. Samuel Locklear III said in response to a question from U.S. Sen. Richard Blumental, D-Conn., during his appearance.
