The Supreme Court arguments over same-sex marriage Wednesday generated yet another back-and-forth between Chief Justice John Roberts and President Obama's White House.

During a hearing on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act, Roberts asked a lawyer why the Obama administration would continue to enforce the law even after asking the Supreme Court to strike it down.
