Obamacare Bans Most Private Health Policies, Points Out Sen. Mike Lee
Bases his charge on a recent study
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, called foul on President Obama's promise that if you like your health care plan, you can keep it, as he noted a recent study showing that 98 percent of individual plans are illegal under Obamacare.
"As we we were all shocked to learn recently, 98 percent of all individual health insurance policies in the United States right now are in violation of Obamacare's standards," Lee said on the Senate floor as he argued in favor of de-funding the health care law.

Exactly. This was the intent. Why do we keep calling Health Care Insurance, 'Insurance"? The crony-capitalism component and the government component are both just redistribution. There is little in the way of an individual making financial risk management choices on health care the way you would in a free market insurance policy for anything else in life. Even though automobile insurance is heavily regulated, you can still decide not to insure your own vehicle - but have liability for other vehicles, to insure it for replacement cost, to add rental coverage, or to just park it in the garage and not insure it at all. Can you still drive uninsured around your own private property? Wouldn't surprise me if the answer was no.
Medicare and Medicaid direct redistribution aside, with regard to just insurance the government has taken a wonderful private contract and risk management tool and fucked it up.

Reckon he has a turd in his pocket?
I don't see how this violates His pledge that 'if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it'. Obamacare makes your health care plan better, and who doesn't like better? Does it cost more? Well, of course it does, but you have to pay more to get more! What are you? One of them free-loading commie bastards that wants something for nothing? Or some sort of ingrate that doesn't appreciate everything that gets done to you by your government?
I guess some of you will never be happy, there's just no pleasing some people. It doesn't matter what kind of stick you're getting raped with, it's just bitch, bitch, bitch.
