InTrade Shutting Down
Had been hounded by an American regulator
Well-known online betting site InTrade is completely shutting down trading, according to a memo posted to its site. It's unclear if it will ever open again, as the language is rather opaque.

Didn't see this one coming. If only there were a website were people could come together to predict future events ... we would have known then!

Regulators killed Intrade and they shot all their dogs.
Intrade's statement seems to indicate clearly they want to get going again, and the issues involve 'financial irregularities' that need to be investigated by Irish(?) banking authorities:
We are committed to reporting faithfully the status of things as they are clarified and hope you will bear with us as we do all we can to resume operations as promptly as possible.

Thank you billions, Obama administration! I don't know what I'd do if you maggots weren't saving me from me! Most un-transparent fascist administration in U.S. history. Yayyyy!!

I was hoping it was that stupid day trading company. But I guess that is E-trade?
