Watch Matt Welch Talk Rand Paul on MSNBC at 4:30 pm ET
Beginning at 4:30 pm ET, I will be appearing on MSNBC's "brain trust" segment hosted by Craig Melvin, talking about the ships-passing-in-the-nightness of this weeks senatorial duel between Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.). We'll also be discussing Bill Clinton's change of position (I won't say "heart") on the Defense of Marriage Act, and gazing into the GOP's electoral crystal ball.

Why, Mr. Welch, do you let them parade you out as their token conservative? You're a fool. History will look at you and say, "This man was a fool."
Prediction: The phrase "black helicopters" will be used.
We're libertarians, so we're the Token "other". Will always be.
Stop othering us. Haven't we suffered enough?
To be libertarian is to suffer. Or is it the other way around, to suffer is to be libertarian?
Fuck you, Paul, I just want to be happy. Instead, I wake up every day to the sound of my own screams. Stop piling on.
I too am tired of waking up to your screams.
That's what she said.
Perhaps you two should try a trial separation. Or at least get some couples counseling. Sheesh.
I'd gladly get couple's counseling, but that bitchwhore Paul won't agree to it.
Now it's all my fault? Every time I try to make progress, you pull away and shut me out.
*runs out of room crying*
my friend's mom makes $86 hourly on the internet. She has been unemployed for six months but last month her income was $15627 just working on the internet for a few hours. Here's the site to read more... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diP-o_JxysA
Lemme tell you something about your friend's mom...
NTTAWWT
Blowing the guy asking away with a hidden firearm beneath the table and there is nothing wrong with it?
When did this become about fellatio?
It's always about fellatio, even when its not. Sometimes a cigar is just a pre-blowjob.
That works out to roughly 180 hours for 1 month. Not exactly "a few".
I am disappointed in you Anonbot.
You are not taking into account the Vocational Rehabilitation grants, EBT, tax rebates, subsidies, and counterfeit Viagra schemes, prostitution rings, and murder for hire. It all adds up when using the new math. Kathleen87's friend's mom is obviously the next Steve Jobs.
what Christine implied I'm blown away that a person can profit $5323 in one month on the internet. did you read this site link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diP-o_JxysA
All this talk about Bill Clinton calling for the repeal of DOMA has me nostalgic for 1996. I'm thinking about popping in Independence Day or Twister to watch tonight.
Welcome to earf.
David Brooks and E.J. Dionne, NPR's itinerant liberal minstrels thought Rand was clumsy and mean to Obama, but somewhere in there they kind of thought that maybe there was a point.
Further, they seemed to be more interested in the fact that McCain was defending Obama.
Fucking Der, dumbasses, of course he is, Obama is Bush 4.0
Interesting Melvin doesn't mention Strom Thurmond's party when he filibustered against the Civil Rights Act. To be fair, he didn't say the party of the others in the list.
Take a deep breath, and say, "No, fuck you. Stop spending."
I would pay cash money for Welch or the Jacket to say that on any lefty show they go on.
Honestly, I think Doherty is the only one with the stones to do it.
Who gives a shit about the weather in Denver?
THE BRAIN TRUST COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE WHITER IF THEY WERE ALL ALBINOS.

MSNBC doesn't exactly have a history of racial sensitivity or diversity. There's nothing funnier than watching MSNBC talking heads whine about how few minorities there are in the Republican party, when I'm pretty sure MSNBC has a higher percentage of white people than the Republicans do.
Muppets not Sesame Street. Please.
The requisite dig on Paul over CRA and abortion.
What the fuck is wrong with that girl's mouth? I can't watch.
And fuck you, you dumb bitch, for that Civil Rights Amendment crack.
RAND IS A KOOK!!!!!!111!!! - Salon girl
RAND PAUL IS STOKING THE ANTI-GOVERNMENT TERRORISTS!!!!!!
Whatever you do, DON'T TELL THE TRUTH. Them KOOKZ can't handle the truth.
Yeah, I don't get it. Calling civil liberties concerns in the era of what Stephen Colbert calls "a perpetual war against an enemy with no face using kill-bots" "kooky" is right out of the Bush-Rove playbook. I can't say it's not hilarious watching the left call those very same plays when they're in power.
Oh please let it be Graham's undoing.
That implies that he's had a doing that can be un-ed. I'm not so sure that this particular gadfly ever was enough of an "is" to become a "has-been".
Well, it is MSNBC, and the lack of Dems in the filibuster is an uncomfortable subject, so I suppose the most exciting event in Washington in quite some time wouldn't be something you want to dwell on too long. So much for the Rand Paul discussion.
If Rand Paul were President, thousands of people would be dying of hypothermia in Denver right now.
Commence the rationalization of Clinton's DOMA.
Poor Bill. BOOOOOOOSH made him sign that.
Obama is GAY. Another MSNBC scoop.
Watt Welch is throwing cold water on the gay love for Barack Obama. That's got to hurt.
Did he mention how it was the Log Cabin Republicans that effectively litigated Don't Ask Don't Tell out of existence?
If he did they edited it out.
Yikes, Melvin really tearing into Salon girl's "no glasses" policy.
War on WIMMEN!
I knew it, they see libertarians as default Republicans. Anti-statism is so anathema to everything MSNBC stands for.
Salon girl: Republicans, pro rape!
Really. "YOUR WING" of the Republican party.
Because, of parties there are two. And nobody isn't in one.
Dude seems to know what he is talking about wow.
