Detroit City Council to Appeal Emergency Management Plan
Insist they do have a plan
Detroit City Council has voted to request a public hearing and appeal Gov. Rick Snyder's plan to appoint an emergency financial manager for Detroit.
The resolution passed by council this afternoon says the city does indeed have a plan to fix the financial problems that have plagued the city for years. Council was awaiting any changes Bing may have wanted in the four-page resolution, but no response came from his office.
"We're basically going to ask for that hearing," Pugh said this afternoon.
