White House Warns Sequester Will Affect Airports
They'll probably make sure of it, in fact, in order to scare citizens
Airline passengers will face major delays if Congress allows across-the-board cuts to the budgets of agencies like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood warned Friday.
LaHood, speaking to reporters at Friday's White House press briefing, predicted chaos at the nation's busiest airports because thousands of FAA employees — including air traffic controllers — will be furloughed to save money.
"This is very painful for us because it involves our employees, but it's going to be very painful for the flying public," LaHood said.

Given the choice between spending cuts that actually will save money and spending cuts that will inconvenience the majority of people, the government will always choose the latter as a way to convince voters that spending cuts are wrong.
See?! One dime cut and the world collapses!
