Charges Dropped Against 1 in Texas College Shooting
Was a victim of shooting, not perpetrator
Prosecutors have dropped assault charges against a man who was among three people wounded in a shooting at a Houston-area college.
Carlton Berry was arrested soon after the Jan. 22 shootings at Lone Star College and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Berry was shot in the leg.
Sara Kinney, a spokeswoman for the Harris County district attorney's office, said Monday that Berry was clearly a victim.
