Breaking: Shooters on Texas College Campus Wound at Least Two People
Via Yahoo News:
At least two students were shot at Lone Star College in Texas on Tuesday.
According to Jed Young, a spokesman for the school, the shooting "involving two individuals" took place shortly before 12:30 p.m. local time. Two students were shot in the crossfire, the spokesman said, and at least one of the suspected shooters was shot and taken into custody. The extent of their injuries were not known. A second shooter fled the campus, the spokesman said.
It's unclear if the suspected shooters were students at the school.

There is a Lone Star College? That is awesome.
I am deeply disappointed that the shooter wasn't instantly killed in a hail of bullets when every student and professor in sight returned fire.
It's a system of community colleges.
Also it is illegal to have a gun on a college campus in Texas. It's been discussed the last couple of legislative sessions but it generally gets put on the back burner by the end of the six months.
Maybe they will have a knee-jerk reaction and abolish the gun free zones.
Maybe but on of our legislature's great strengths is it's inability to get much done combined with the 6 months out of 2 years sessions.

I see that the system worked.

The law works well.
Actually it's illegal to take a firearm on the "premises" of a Texas school, unless you have written permission or there's a written policy.
"Premises" is a building or portion of a building, and specifically doesn't include streets, sidewalks, or parking areas.
At least one Texas ISD has a policy allowing teachers to carry. Colleges and universities may not prohibit employees from securing guns in their cars.

Raspberry. There's only one man who would dare give me the raspberry: Lone Star!
The Lone Star College Department of Genetics is at the forefront of human/canine chimera technology.
Well mogs are their own best friends.
I figured you'd be following their research closely, Doctor.
But, of course.
Was this a gun free zone?
Yep
It couldn't possibly be.
What the fuck is going wrong with people?
This is just a couple thugs shooting at each other. It's only national news because of the "school" angle.
Well, let's hope so. I hope the innocents weren't badly hurt.
First thing when I read the (sketchy) details was that it sounded like drug dealers or gangsters. Ho hum.
It's only national news because the push for gun control is at a peak right now.
Well, that and the school angle. Because just saying "school" conjures images of peaceful six year old girls selling girl scout cookies. Few will realize that school = community college = directionless youths without the ability or intellect to get into a four year institution and primarily attending classes in an effort to scope out the local tail.
Meh. It's college. When school means children, it matters. But people hate college kids.
Yeah, we had one of those in Kentucky, but it was domestic situation that just happened to take place at a community college.
But you could tell by the breathless excitement evident in the early reports that they were desperate for a round of corpsefucking over gun control.
I am getting mighty tired of this crap. I hope everyone else is too. I think people are desperate to stop thinking about the shitty economy and the obviously failed attempts by government to fix it that they will latch onto any sort of news as a distraction. One hopes that this will result in media fatigue on a large scale.
Yeah. But the "this is just two individuals committing a crime in a high-density area" narrative is already developing. Which is bizarre, since I thought they were going full ban boner on every single gun casualty at this point.
They want random kills by crazy-eyed white boys, nicole. Preferably with low-capacity magazine handguns they purchased at a gun show. Everything else is just a blip.
This cocksucker on TV just said something like "this appears to be an altercation between two students, who had some kind of conflict, possibly gang- or drug-related, so it's more like the kinds of shootings we see in public schools in inner cities."
They really do want crazy-eye white boys.
"Corpsefucking"
I'm going to try to work that into conversations on gun control now. Thanks.

This. It was two guys arguing over a girlfriend. Probably.
My wife drove by there just after it happened and got stuck in the traffic jam with all the police and ambulances.
Another shooting, with deaths

Handguns probably and Obama is not even trying to restrict those. That will be for the next President to try and tackle.
The 3-D printed guns will be available and gun-control will go out the window.

Not anytime soon.

Behold the largest collection of ugly people on the North American continent. AKA America's legal brothel.
Oh, I thought you were talking about Congress.
Ugg. I wouldn't go there if they paid me.
John would fuck her.
Stop projecting. There are some really skinny ones there you would love.
Blow job...$500

I'm surprised there hasn't been more said about the 15-year-old boy who killed several of his own family members in Albuquerque:

Normally, I would see lots of people I know talking about it on facebook, but nothing.
Dad was a cop chaplain. Killings by cops or their family members make poor arguments for restricting "civilian" arms ownership.
The teen allegedly told the detective that he took a .22 caliber rifle from his parents' closet around midnight Saturday and shot his mother in the head while his younger brother slept next to her.
And besides, how do you ban a .22 rifle? Even that won't fly with liberals.
Even that won't fly with liberals.
I wouldn't take that bet.
"You want it for 'varmints', whatever those are? Well, call the police."
Liberals wont be happy until the only gun everyone is allowed to own is a musket.
"No -- not even muskets! We're better than that!"
Based on the name, the kid is likely hispanic or of Indigenous descent. Doesn't fit the narrative of teh evul whitez
But he could be a White Hispanic, right?
