FLASHBACK: Watch Eric Holder Tell Congress That the DOJ Isn't Going After State-Legal Medical Marijuana Dispensaries
In June of 2012 Attorney General Eric Holder was asked by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) why the Obama administration had gone back on its campaign pledge not to crack down on medical marijuana. In response, Holder told Nadler that his question was "inconsistent with these little things called 'the facts.'" Holder added, "We limit our enforcement efforts to those individuals and organizations that are acting out of conformity with state laws."
The clip of Holder's testimony (which we blogged about at the time) is worth reviewing in light of the federal government's case against Matthew Davies, a California medical marijuana provider who spent thousands in legal fees to make sure his business was compliant with California's medical marijuana laws, and is nevertheless now facing a federal prison sentence of 10 years for violating federal marijuana law.

perjury?
Is that any less bad than what Clemens did?
Clemens lied in order to cover his own ass. Holder lied in the service of a greater troof. He obviously deserves a commendation.
Are we talking Congressional Medal of Honor here?
And promotion to Eleventy Star Space Marshal!
The public lying to government is illegal.
The government lying to the public is policy.
He exaggerated.
If we keep giving my liberal Facebook friends things not to talk about, then soon they'll be left with recapping Downton Abbey.
OT: Drudge headline: "Obama to surround himself with children during gun control announcement..."
Literally hiding behind children.
Don't worry, Obama also has hundreds of armed Secret Service agents if the attacker gets pass the children.
I know, the idea of President Biden is very scary.
Also OT: Chicago PD's New Professionalism costs city ripe sucks, er, taxpayers big: http://www.suntimes.com/175746.....-area.html
Wait a minute...that's the Att'y Gen'l, the head of the US Justice Dept. talking, on the record. That means Davies can use estoppel!
The only logical conclusion is that the US attorney prosecuting Davies is acting without authority. This video needs to be down to the US district judge immediately so that he can do something about that usurper.
I am eager to see the Washington press corps follow this story up and grill the Administration spokescritters and Holder!
What?
I look forward to the active and thorough fact-checking that will be performed on this by the media.
