Woman Arrested After Child Dies from Eating Chili Powder
Accused of child abuse after 2-year-old girl has seizure and dies
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. • Authorities arrested a woman Monday morning for child abuse resulting in death after a 2-year-old ingested chili powder, had a seizure and died, officials said Monday.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies found a 2-year-old girl suffering from a seizure after ingesting chili powder around 4:16 p.m. Sunday in the 20000 block of Cayuga Road.
The child was transported to a local hospital where she died, officials said.
