Obama Says Debt Ceiling Must Be Raised
Doesn't want another showdown with Congress
HONOLULU — President Barack Obama is hailing a last-minute deal that pulled the country back from the "fiscal cliff," but says it's just one step in a broader effort to boost the economy and shrink federal deficits.
Obama said in his radio and Internet address Saturday that the new law, approved by Congress on New Year's Day and signed Thursday, raises taxes on the wealthiest Americans while preventing a middle-class tax increase that could have thrown the economy back into recession.

Gimme mo' money!!
I predict that after the standard huffing and puffing, the Republican-branded minions of the Ruling Party will fall in line and raise the "debt ceiling" as usual. This shit will continue until the dollar collapses.

He's fucking crazy.
Barry has a bright post-POTS future as a financial adviser. "First thing you folks should do, uhhhhhh, is to ask MBNA to increase your credit limit."
Could they at least speed up the dollar collapse a little? This is getting ridiculous with all the waiting.
It's actually hilarious. No matter what we do, the rest of the world will try to prop up the dollar just because they have bought so many of them. Suckers!

In a discussion with a reasonable person a couple of years back, I made the prediction that the dollar would again gain against the euro. He was skeptical, but was swayed by the evidence of the euro-whackos being even more stupid than Ben (and Obama).
The dollar is simply the best mouse in a horse show. Obama and Ben have yet to win the 'race to the bottom'; others are far in the lead regardless of their efforts.
Imagine the possibilities if the 'right people' got lost and let the market work: Europe on $0.10/day! A $0.01 tip for that sleazy French waiter!
Make the tip $0.02; I'm generous.
"President Barack Obama is hailing a last-minute deal that pulled the country back from the "fiscal cliff""
Yeah, well, Obama's an ignoramus.
FUCK YOU, CUT SPENDING!!!
Increasing the national debt would be money well spent if it was used to reward young felons that will accept a vasectomy. An incentive of five thousand dollars would be fair and welcome by youngsters with no place to go but down. Millions of young felons who chose to have the vasectomy could use the cash and have no concern with bringing innocent children into their tough world.
Creepy.
That would never happen. The Democrats need such people at maximum fertility to keep the new voters coming.
Mr. President, FUCK YOU, cut spending!
Obama says all kinds of stuff, just ignore the idiot.
That second term curse can kick in any day now.
