Cop Fired After College Student Releases Video of Illegal Search
Welcome to YouTube!
A University of Kentucky police officer has been fired after a student posted a video to YouTube of officers entering his room.
UK Police Chief Joe Monroe said Cpl. David Thompson had inappropriate contact with the student in the video. The student initially posted the video after he said the officers violated his rights after they entered his dorm room without a search warrant. Campus police said they saw alcohol being poured out of the student's video and went to inspect the room to see if there was any more alcohol.
