Same Sex Marriage, But Not Marijuana, Now Officially Legal in Maryland

You can apply for a license today, but can't get married until next year

As of today same sex couples will be able to apply for marriage licenses, at least in some court houses in Maryland.

Gov. O'Malley is scheduled to sign the official papers today that will allow same gender couples to apply for the ones that will allow them to marry with all of the legal standing of opposite sex couples starting on New Year's Day.
