Those union efforts backfired magnificently

Gov. Rick Snyder and legislative leaders will make an announcement at 11 a.m. Thursday concerning the status of right-to-work legislation.

Organized labor union members were out in force on the Capitol lawn this morning as anticipation builds on a decision on whether GOP lawmakers will pursue the controversial legislation.

Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, told The Detroit News early Thursday morning the news conference in the governor's office would center on the right-to-work legislation. But he declined to divulge details, citing an agreement with Snyder and House Speaker Jase Bolger, who also will be in attendance.
