Conservative MPs joined the Labor opposition to demand real cuts to the EU budget
British Prime Minister David Cameron has suffered his first significant parliamentary defeat after rebels in his Conservative Party joined the Labour opposition to demand a cut in the EU budget.
MPs passed a motion urging Mr Cameron to insist on a cut in real terms in the bloc's trillion-euro 2014-20 budget at a Brussels summit next month, by 307 votes to 294.
