Cop Suspended After Breaking Car Window, Threatening Motorist
He also faces criminal charges
The Whitaker police officer who used his gun to break the window of a motorist's car, then threatened to file charges unless she paid for the damage to his firearm, has been suspended without pay, according to the borough's mayor.
William S. Davis, 35, has surrendered his badge and keys to the borough's police chief and will remain suspended for cause and without pay for 10 business days, according to a statement today from Mayor John F. Karichko.
Borough council will consider additional disciplinary action, according to borough officials. Mr. Davis is not allowed to enter the Whitaker police department until his status is resolved.
