Just When You Thought the Administration's Benghazi Dissembling Couldn't Get Any Worse
Along comes Obama 2012 Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter:
And before you start nitpicking the difference between "administration" and "campaign," watch the damn video, and note the word "we."

And before you start nitpicking the difference between "administration" and "campaign,"
With this particular administration, there is no difference.
Well, the WARN Act shenanigans certainly make it seem that way.
Damnit I want to watch this video with the sound up so bad I'm going to wet myself. Gargh!
*looking for headphones*
Stephanie Cutter is a particularly nasty piece of work.
The contrast between Cutter and the CNN anchor is quite stark.
Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it!
LIES!!
She is gorgeous!!
Well she is a Cutter.
"What you saw there is the Administration giving you their best intelligence..."
No argument there.
Good job giggling at the end, though, Steph.
"We ordered the MSM to shut the hell up about this.
The only reason we are talking about it is because of Romney!!!"
Too bad this will not matter at all.
On another note i watch Obama 2016.
Weirdly it made me like Obama more then I did. If Obama has the world view portrayed in the movie i have to say i agree with it. The only difference would be my solutions would not be socialist solutions.
Boy, this is particularly vile. Time to see how ol' Stef is making out on Twitter after this.
Care to relate to those of us who cannot WTFV?
1. Irritating campaign hack watches videos of administration saying contradictory stupid shit.
2. Irritating hack says that the obvious contradiction (including the Guy in Charge) is of course because "we're still investigating" and this is all basically a political scheme by the Romney/Ryan campaign. Uses "we" repeatedly talking about the administration. "Had we any different information, we would have put it out."
3. Irritating hack is made to watch mother of dead staffer sob that she has no idea how her son died.
4. Irritating hack says she doesn't speak for the State Department and that she is "on the other side now, I'm on the campaign".
5. Irritating hack gets name of hot CNN interviewer wrong and is corrected by same.
Hot CNN interviewer is, btw, pretty solid throughout in not being a pussy. As it were.
#2 is even worse -- she accused R-R of endangering national security by talking about this.
I don't think it is all that bad.
She blames Romney for bringing it up....and the excuse is that information has changed and "we" are investigating.
Basically the anchor ambushed her on stuff she has no real information on and she spun it....spun it directly into a collision course with the sun.
Also she is hot and very cute while she is flustered and groping for an answer.
Note: I like journalists ambushing spin doctors. But to say it is anything but entertainment (especially when they fuck it completely up like Cutter did) is a bit of a stretch.
It is fucking bad. She can't go blaming Romney for bringing it up when you have this mother who one month later still doesn't know what killed her son in Libya!
Hilarious. She's doing damage control on FNC and she's melting down. I'm not sure what I liked better: the stuttering, the nervous laugh at the end, or "next time I'll bring my notes".
It's not fair she doesn't get a Teleprompter.
My Kingdom for a Transcript!
Obama lackey says Libya is only an issue because Romney is making a big stink about it, not because of national security or diplomats getting murdered or failure to communicate with the public, etc.
Yeah, how dare any American citizen criticize the administration when our diplomats get murdered?
I can't believe she said the reason we're talking about this is becasue of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan!
Is there anything they won't blame on Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan?
You know what I blame it on? I blame it on Barack Obama's willingness to exploit bigotry and racism against Muslims and Arabs to try to deflect criticism away from his own Administration's incompetence in an election season.
It's disgusting. The president's behavior is disgusting.
You mean Barack Hussein Obama, a man who a fair percentage of the country think is some sort of crypto-Muslim, the man who, on a regular basis, bows and scrapes in front of King Abdullah of the House of Sa'ud, is attempting to "exploit bigotry and racism against Muslims and Arabs"?
A brilliant plan!
(Yes, I believe Obama would be that stupid and venal.)
Apparently, he's willing to exploit racism and bigotry against them...
I guess it's dangerous to belong to a minority group that might get in the way of Obama getting reelected.
Reason enough by itself to vote against Obama.
And Romney belonging to a minority religion himself that was once persecuted by the U.S. government, I would imagine he's much more tolerant than Obama--especially considering Obama's recent behavior...
I hope undecided voters take a really close look at how our president has treated this minority here. It's disgusting to see a president that's so power hungry, he'd throw a whole religious and cultural group under the bus just to get himself reelected.
Speaking of crypto-Muslim.
http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/oba.....but-allah/
"The president's behavior is disgusting."
I know you mean it is disgusting in this instance, but I am hard pressed to think of any occasion at all in which it was not.
the reason we're talking about this is becasue of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan!
Because no American *really* cares when a mob of fanatics attacks our embassies and murders our diplomats.
That's the part i find most offensive = the administration's *downplaying* its significance. Did Jimmy Carter downplay Desert 1? I expect so. Which people are actually *still* pissed about.
Hell, I'm still annoyed for the Pakistanis attacking and burning our embassy... in *1979*...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1....._Islamabad
mainly because the reason why?? (ostensibly) was because Saudis (and others) were blaming the terrorist attack on the Grand Mosque of Mecca on 'Americans and Jews' because most Arab/ME leaders were terrified that people would realize they had domestic problems with extremist groups within their borders. So they rabble roused the planet into murdering Americans, which continues to this day.
Yeah, Barack... the *only* reason we care is because of Mitt Romney.
So this hack is telling us that without Romney and Ryan the administration would have buried this story so deep not even fracking could have gotten it out.
Good on the CNN newsbabe "it's Brooke" for not putting up with their crap and kissing ass. Too bad the challenges only come almost four years into this administration.
Good God, she makes Debbie Wasserman Shultz look like a principled decent human being.
Side benefit, after the campaign we'll not have to look at this slimy piece of human filth for at least a few years...hopefully
And before you start nitpicking the difference between "administration" and "campaign," watch the damn video, and note the word "we."
What the fuck?
She is still just a stupid campaign manager. She will not know shit about this. Who cares if she said "we". We know she does not know shit and we know her job is to be a spin doctor.
What kind of answer are you expecting?
Also she is hot when she is flustered....
This may or may not explain my above comments.
Most of them do it with a modicum of artifice.
There is no "we" in Campaign. Or Administration. Or Obama. Or Biden. There is an 'id' in Biden, though. And a lot of Is in Administration.
Make of that what you will.
Except she ripped into MR and PR on an issue she later claimed to know nothing about.
If she knows nothing about it she should say so immediately rather than trying to spin.
Stephanie Cutter is a smarmy, odious little cunt. I want to see her out there front and center every day, working her magic. I cannot help thinking she could singlehandedly sink Zero the Magnificent's re-election campaign.
In polite company, I refer to Ms. Cutter as a "soulless hack."
Among friends, though, "smarmy, odious little cunt" does nicely.
or, as we would say in hawaii "hauna punani"
Release the Ken Shultz!
That's why they call her "Cunt" Cutter.
Why not call her Cunter and just cut out the middle man? Or would that be middle Womyn?
I just wanted to say "cunt cutter" to enhance my anti-circumcision creds.
How about Cutter Cunt? Imagine the fear that would put in men?
I'm already more likely to put my thing in a garbage disposal than a BO apparatchik.
Biden/Cutter 2016!
You laugh, I suspect this may actually be the ticket.
the more taping (video/audio) of officers and by officers the better.let's protect officers doing the right thing, and get good evidence against those doing the wrong thing. not to mention, same videos often provide good evidence against perps.
example. a dog owner, initially angered (and understandably so) after cop shoots his dog changes his mind after seeing the video.
Video is pretty dynamic, and pretty disturbing. Especially the body camera one...
tragic, but JUSTIFIED...
http://www.policeone.com/Offic.....-pit-bull/
NAMPA, Idaho ? Footage from a body-worn camera has led a dog owner to make a heartfelt apology to the officer who fatally shot his pit bull.
The incident began Monday night when police responded to a welfare check at a Nampa home, KTVB reported. Seconds after an officer knocked, announcing their arrival, two dogs charged through the doorway.
...
At a Wednesday press conference, the officer's belt was displayed, which showed bite marks on his can of OC spray. During the press conference, KTVB showed a stunned O'Hare the police video
"To me, it sounded like you saw the dog, he came up, he came down, then you shot him," said O'Hare, ... "But...I would've done the same thing. I swear I would've."
...
"I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart that that police officer had to deal with that," O'Hare said. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I wish I could take it back."
Amazing, how the copcams work perfectly when the footage exonerates the cop, yet so many mysteriously experience failures when they might corroborate eyewitnesses with less than flattering accounts.
And then there's the cams that the cops can actually turn off...
and then there 's the incessant driven need for some (the people i believe i accurately portray as bigots and obsessed) to turn ANY cop incident around.
iow, here we have an example of cops doing the right thing. and of the power of video to help make a situation better - it gives the dog owner a way to understand that his dogs weren't unlawfully killed, and he can have empathy for the officer.
note: he, the guy whose dog was killed has empathy for the officer
the people here, nope it's just another excuse to attack the cops. even in an incident where they clearly did nothing wrong
What irritates me about you Dunphy is that you think that everybody is negatively stereotyping police officers, but you positively stereotype them all the time. You're all wrong! Has it ever occurred to you that you haven't worked in all of the LEAs in the US? Maybe you've been lucky enough to only work with good guys most of the time.
There are as many bad cops as there are bad priests, bad customers, bad grocers, etc, and their unions do a hell of a great job of protecting most of them. The difference is that like priests and unlike most of the rest of the population, the cop has been given an immense amount of power and authority. The bad ones who abuse that can get away with too much.
"To me, it sounded like you saw the dog, he came up, he came down, then you shot him," said O'Hare, ... "But...I would've done the same thing. I swear I would've."
And if it had been a crazed police dog he would have spent the next 5 to 10 behind bars.
amazing how you can ALWAYS find a way, no matter what the story, to turn it into some kind of attack on the cops.
this is why i refer to troll and the bigorati.
here we have a story where a cop apparently did the right thing. and where it also demonstrates the power of video both to punish the bad guys and exonerate the good guys.
and yet, you can't simply acknowledge that, or make a positive comment about the cop or anything like that.
do you grok where i am coming from?
"amazing how you can ALWAYS find a way, no matter what the story, to turn it into some kind of attack on the cops."
Says more about the cops and their behavior than anything else.
"do you grok where i am coming from?"
Yeah, you're butthurt because no one buys what you're selling.
i merely care about speakign truth. and plenty "buy" it. as plenty have commented otherwise. you are just another example of people who are driven from the woodwork, whenever a cop is referenced in a story or whatever, such as here, to try to turn it into a negative attack on cops
nothing here but a tragic story, but one where the cops clearly did the right thing
that's it. you can "but but but " all you want, but that is the reality here.
it's sad that your prejudice is that pervasive, that you can't simply acknowledge truth "yea, at leat in this incident, looks like the cop did the right thing and it's sad about the dogs" or something
that's all i am saying. this cop was placed in a terrible position. he had to defend himself by killing a dog. i have empathy for him, the dog, and the dog owner.
but you just use it as an excuse to attack cops
what it DOES show, whatever i am buying is the pervasive prejudice some people (a minority) have against cops, and how it trumps rational thought
Butthurt cop is butthurt.
"and yet, you can't simply acknowledge that, or make a positive comment about the cop or anything like that."
Are you really this insecure?
"tragic, but JUSTIFIED..."
Your post would matter if that word meant the same to cops as it does everyone else.
it has nothing to do with cops. it has to do with rule of law. it means the same thing IN THE COURT SYSTEM, which is where uses of force whether by cop or 'civilian' are adjudicated.
and again, even a video that clearly shows a cop doing the right thing HAS to be used by the bigots here to turn around and attack.
"but they erase videos but but but but "
that's why i refer to bigots, and that's why i think it has validity.
there always has to be a negative spin. NO positive cop story can survive without, as you demonstrate, a "yea but"
"it has nothing to do with cops. "
It does when committees staffed by them are the final word on what is and is not Justified.
right. juries and judges are staffed by cops. fascinating
"juries and judges are staffed by cops"
Who said anything about judges and juries?
Is this where you ignore your famously stupid "contract" thread to pretend cops offer themselves up to judges and juries for punishment?
"NO positive cop story can survive without, as you demonstrate, a "yea but""
Blame your brothers in blue for their thuggish behavior.
no. see that's the difference between you and me. i blame people when they do bad. and i commend them when they do good. you, even when you have an example of them doing the right thing, see it as an excuse to attack others who do bad.
get over it. there are bad cops. always will be. always have been
but in this story, all we have is a cop doing the right thing.
"i blame people when they do bad. "
So do I, which is why I blame you for ignoring the illegal behavior of your buddies, and I blame all the other cops for the same.
You don't get the benefit of the doubt, I am absolutely making the assumption that at some point every cop everywhere in the US (with the exception of BRAND NEW cops) have done the same as you, ignore lawbreaking behavior by other cops.
Cry all you want about it, it's your fault.
"i blame people when they do bad. "

You complain about people trying to turn any story into an anti-cop spin, but you're the one who came in here, in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with police, and started blathering about an incident where a cop justifiably shoots a dog.
Ok, great. Why is that in this thread? Why open that Pandora's Box if you're going to be sensitive to rebuttals? Do you just want to post good-cop stories in random threads and not have anyone do anything except reply with, "Geez, you were right all along! Thank you for opening my eyes!"
He's just spreading the love, man. Everybody loves a nice, heartwarming dog killing story.
"get over it. there are bad cops. always will be. always have been"
When was the last time you went down to Internal Affairs and ratted 'em out? You know who they are.
The incident began Monday night when police responded to a welfare check at a Nampa home
_______________________
We knew that Obama was writing a lot of welfare checks these days, but who knew they can call the police?
Ryan should skewer Biden with this every change he gets tonight. Constantly remind the country of the complete and utter incompetence and dishonesty that are the two major hallmarks of this administration.
I dont know if this was already discussed here today, I have been on and off. I have to agree with Welch on the 'we' bit. I am sure everyone associated with this administration has been instructed to obfuscate and evade as much as possible.
Watch this little gem, Carney is even worse ( if that is possible ).
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/....._ref=media
What's wrong with her mouth? It's like someone made her face, then realized they forgot a mouth and used a razor blade to just hack one in there.
Gross.
"What's wrong with her mouth?"
She's a progressive. Her mouth has been disconfigured from years of scowling and bitterness.
It's nice to finally see a fine looking female Democrat.
Every now and then a normal looking gal who knows how to groom herself realizes she can make herself standout more by joining the DNC.
That is awesome
and yet, you can't simply acknowledge that, or make a positive comment about the cop or anything like that.
do you grok where i am coming from?
WHY CAN'T YOU LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM???????
Fuck off.
no, see this is another example of turning an IDEA into a matter of personal attack
this has nothing to do with me. i didn't shoot the dog. what it does, is it just evidences your sad prejudice and petty hate towards a group. it shows you to be no different than a racist or other such collective hate thug.
that you can't see that. that you can't EVER praise or even say "hey, the cop did the right thing here". says everything.
i got all the love i need, man. from real people, in the real world. i don't need the love of bigots, but god i love to expose them. as this simple post did here. one simple post, with graphic video evidence, of cops doing the right thing. and instantly, the cockroaches crawl out and try to turn it into an attack on cops.
it is yet another PERFECT example of rational thought on one side, and callous kneejerk bigotry on the other
is it just evidences your sad prejudice and petty hate towards a group.
Cop hate improves the performance of cops.
The same works for government
Government hate improves government performance.
The problem here is that you take this basic fact about government (cops or otherwise) and internalize it personally...even though you agree with it broadly.
What does this video have to do with people's perception of police, again?
It would be nice to see everything cops do on film, all the time.
"it shows you to be no different than a racist or other such collective hate thug."
Two problems with that.
1) It's based on behavior.
2) You cover for each other.
So, in light of that, hating you all is perfectly justified, because of what you have and have not done.
You'd have a point if cops frequently came out against other cops, especially in situations where there is obvious and understandable outrage.
When some idiot asshole cop stumbles in the wrong back yard, without a warrant, and shoots the dog who lives there, that's a problem.
But the real problem is that it is OBVIOUSLY outrageous, yet the idiotic Police protection rackets band together to cover for him.
Show me outrage when it's appropriate, and we'll talk. As of now, your actions belie your words.
Dunphy, once you identify the black guy who gets paid to be black, who obtains special authority by his being black, and who can choose at any moment to stop being black, then we can talk about how bias against you correlates with racism.
and yet, you can't simply acknowledge that, or make a positive comment about the cop or anything like that.
We are better off with cops then without.
Happiness?
We are better off with good, honest cops than without. We are worse off with corrupt, dishonest ones.
Fixed.
They told Sean Smith's mother that they would get to the bottom of this. That should be more than enough. What do you want, anyway? Accountability?
He died in service to the God-Emperor Barack I Hussein Obama. No further explanation is needed. It is the highest honor a man can attain in his lifetime.
They're appointing a commission.
Fuck. Derail some other thread not pertinent to anything interesting.
Here is one far, far away:
http://reason.com/blog/2012/10.....in-the-red
Now go.
I liked the part where the campaign staffer was laughing after a question directly on the video shown about a mother trying to get answers about her dead son. Yep, keep on smiling.
It is a little bit tacky to ask someone who has nothing to do with the actual administration questions like this. She presumably has no inside information on why the various officials and BO himself said what they said. It would be like asking Romney's asst campaign manager why he supported the AW ban in MA as governor; that person can't be expected to answer questions like that.
Of course, Cutter forfeited the right to cry foul when she tried to turn the topic against MR and PR despite not knowing any of the details.
Then she should have said she's just a campaigner and left it at that, instead of being a part of "we" and speaking for the administration.
Yeah, you got me there. People paid to run their mouths are not very good at knowing when to shut up.
the reason we're talking about this is becasue of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan!
If that's the case, thank God for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
She's half right, of course; back when there wasn't an election going on, the administration setting people up to be killed and lying about it didn't get coverage on CNN.
Holy fuck, I just watched the video with the audio.
Obama: [...t]he natural protests which arose because of the video[...]
God these people are craven... CRAVEN!
Obama has got to go. There is no way he's going to relieve this imbecile of any duties.
Chicago machine politics from sea to shining sea.
You know, I could almost live with an Obama administration backtrack on a protest vs. a coordinated, sophisticated attack on the embassy, if they'd have just stuck to the facts.
If the administration had come out and said, "We believe that this may have been in response to a video on youtube which offended some Islamists, but we're still making assessments"
and then a week later said, "It now looks like this was not a protest over a video clip on youtube, but an actual coordinated, targeted attack with the specific purpose of assassinating Ambassador Stevens" this whole thing wouldn't have pissed me off nearly as much. But because the administration put so much craven effort into denigrating some clip amongst a trillion others on Youtube and then with the continued, targeted whining about said video, implying that all is well in the middle east but for some irresponsible American speech, I'm now in go-for-the-jugular mode.
note the word "we."
It's "we's" all the way down.
Cutter digs in
There goes the excuse that she's just a campaign person with no involvement in what the admin is doing.
How? She's not saying anything classified. Seems like normal campaign spin to me.
