Start snitching.
Curses Foiled again!
That's going to be the center of Whitey Bulger's defense.
Last thing I read he plans to get on the stand and say that the 19 murders he is accused of taking part in should not be prosecuted because he was promised immunity for being an informant.
Parents are looking for answers as to why police shot and killed their son...
Officer safety is paramount.
Maybe he was really, *really* UGLY.
totality of the circs, furtive glance, etc. etc.
He could have gone off at any time.
Son, put the weapon down.
An Ohio teacher who reportedly burned an image of the cross on students' arms is suing to get his job back.
What is the world coming to when educators have less rights than student vampires?
Bill-dodging hotel guest betrayed... by his toothbrush
Officers who were called in to investigate noticed the toothbrush he had left behind in his room. After having it forensically tested, they discovered a DNA match on the police database, magistrates in Llandudno heard.
Read more: http://www.news.com.au/travel/.....z28k2vb4Ux
So....how much money did it cost to run that DNA test? I'm guessing a shit load more than the room cost.
Apparently not much more. The room bill was A$102, and Google says DNA tests are $80-200 or so.
Are they going to make the guy pay for the DNA tests too?
GATTACA! GATTACA! GATTACA!

"It doesn't sound like they're having fun anymore. I better go out and watch."
If the kid didn't loudly boo one side or the other, he had no business being a spectator to anything in Philadelphia.
Based on viewer reaction of Wednesday's debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Romney scored the largest win in Gallup history.
Painting the president as infallible and his opponent as the Antichrist can backfire in such spectacular ways.
Occam's tells me that they must really mean it and that it's not just a tactic...which is scarier.
Apparently, some people have a problem with Bond Girls
Just saw the preview for the new Skyfall. Looks pretty good.

FTA: Unemployed Woods was arrested for his own safety on Saturday night and was remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Chorley Magistrates' Court today where he pleaded guilty to sending by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive.
This wasn't libel. That's a civil offence, this one was criminal.
Also FTA: Mr Hudson said: "We have listened to the evidence in what can only be described as a disgusting and despicable crime and the bench finds was completely abhorrent.
Fucking Limeys. Of course, any man that would bow to another will get nothing but contempt from me.
I just don't understand how that country can look at this and not be horrified. Talk about a slippery slope.
Parents are looking for answers as to why police shot and killed their son, a University of Alabama freshman who as naked and unarmed at the time.
At least the fine upstanding men and women of our Law Enforcement community think it's pretty fucking funny.
How you can wade through that cesspool is beyond me.

Real cops don't have time to hang out on the internet. They're too busy delivering papers on quantum thermodynamics in their off hours.

I tried to make the Buckaroo Banzai thing work. OK, back to Rock-n-roll superstar, physics master, world surfing champion, olympic powerlifting coach, most interesting man in the world and husband of Morgan Fairchild.
That's when I started to suspect he was bullshitting. Richards is never too high to play.
I wonder if the officer who called the dead guy's mom giggled a little bit when he told her the news.
If you're worried about which food costs will be going up next year thanks in part to the impact of this year's drought, add milk to the list.
Rising fuel costs were going to make food prices higher anyway. But at least they also mean people will travel less, which means less Global Warming, which means less drought, which makes everything a bust.
Actually, the rising milk prices are a result of the rising fuel prices, which have not only impacted the dairies getting product to market, but have also caused an increase in feed grains getting to the dairies. Not only that, but the anticipated effect of CARB regulations have caused more and more California dairies to have to purchase new machinery. Couple that with a decreased amount of Carl Moyer Grant money that will be available next year and you've got a recipe for increased milk prices.
It happened to the price of cattle this year and the dairymen are usually 1-2 years behind the beef guys on pricing fluctuations. My solution is to buy a cow and milk it myself, but I've been told that will not happen. Meh, looks like I'm gonna be drinking goat's milk in 2013.
But don't you dare suggest that there is any inflation.
An Ohio teacher who reportedly burned an image of the cross on students' arms is suing to get his job back.
Why not? He taught those little shits a lesson, didn't he?
according to reports, used a Tesla coil to burn the image
More than one lesson, apparently. Teacher of the Year!
Based on viewer reaction of Wednesday's debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Romney scored the largest win in Gallup history.
This is the fucking gift that keeps on giving. I cannot wait for the next one. OH MY IT WILL BE SO DELICIOUS
I don't think the next presidential debate will be as good. Ryan vs Biden on the other hand...
I think the next one will be good too. Romney will, like last time, just be Romney. Obama OTOH will have to select an act that will show him to be "engaged", which means to be "more aggressive", to compensate for his debate nap last week. He will almost certainly overshoot and look like a dick. He has to the thread the needle on this one and I don't think he can do it. Even an average performance in debate #1 would have kept him out of the pickle that he is now in.
Yeah, seeing how the big O and his team try to fix this disaster at the next one is going to be the best part. Oh man, I hope he does something really retarded like get all aggressive or something.
(rubs hands gleefully)
What's the over/under on Biden coming down with a cold on debate day and either cancelling or showing up sneezing and coughing only to ask that it end early because he's too sick to continue?
I'd fucking pay to see Team Blue try to pull something like that. It's likely better than the alternative.
I don't think they give a shit about the Biden/Ryan debate, especially after big O got slaughtered. Biden's a known clown, there was no mass delusion that he was the master debater. He'll say some dumb shit, but now, the only thing that matters is can Obama recover in his next debate or is it going to be a massacre.
(rubs hands gleefully some more)
(rubs hands gleefully some more)
Drink your Schadenfruede while you can, asshole, because the next debate Obama will win... NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. The talking heads with their critiques and such have signaled to the Obama camp what they need from him to declare a debate victory. Plus the president can say all those zingers he didn't think of for the first one.
THE JERKSTORE CALLED, MITT...
I think you're seriously underestimating the delusion of TEAM retards. LOTS of democrats actually believe Biden is going to own Ryan in the debates.
I definitely could be, they certainly surprised me before. Their delusion is on a scale that I can't comprehend.
there was no mass delusion that he was the master debater.
I beg to differ:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....47146.html
http://www.thedailybeast.com/n.....-ryan.html
Probably about the same - if Obama's standing crashes in the next week - as there befalling us some major "crisis" that would force POTUS to cancel his last two debate appearances to go be presidential. IOW, not at all out of the question.
Probably about the same - if Obama's standing crashes in the next week - as there befalling us some major "crisis" that would force POTUS to cancel his last two debate appearances to go be presidential. IOW, not at all out of the question.
What like for instance if the AP rana headline like: THINK TANK: PATH TO IRAN NUKE WARHEAD 2-4 MONTHS and Obama had to go deal with them decisively?
Mark my words. If we have a debate go like the last one did again, we will be at war with Iran in less than a week.
Biden believes in Biden. He doesn't see himself the way we see him, else the joke that is his vice presidency would not work as high level real life comedy.
Biden thinks he is Lloyd Benton and Ryan is just a more Eddie Munster looking version of Quayle.
Bentsen
I think you're seriously underestimating the delusion of TEAM retards. LOTS of democrats actually believe Biden is going to own Ryan in the debates.
Damn, that was supposed to be a reply to Epi.
If Mittens actually calls Barry on the carpet for drone process and the al-Awlaki killings, I'm going to have to get naked and bang on the police station windows.
Too soon?
I'm hoping he takes Chris Matthew's advice and goes full MSNBCtard. Drink the Koolaid, motherfucker, drink it all up.
Remember last week when that NYPD cop shot a man to death on the Grand Central Parkway? Turns out officer friendly has been involved in a couple of civil rights violations that cost the city taxpayers a chunk of money. Good thing his union contract kept him around long enough that he was finally able to kill a "civilian".
BTW, it looks like Ray Kelly will make his first good decision in office and send the case to a Grand Jury.
Can they sue the union as well?
unions, like any corporation can be sued. sure.
sue for what, though?
fwiw, this case looks fishy. way too early to know fer shure, but if i was wild ass guessin' at this point, i'd choose - unjustified for the shooting.
and the Sentence for "unjustified shooting" is what, 2 weeks desk duty?
haha, bigorati. everybody knows it's six months paid vacation and a remedial training course on how to handle roadside incidents.
hth
there is no way at this point to know what the crime, if any, is
i am simply saying based on early "smell test" analysis, which is admittedly HIGHLY subjective, this shooting looks BAD.
assuming it is unjustified, it could go as high as murder or as low as some sort manslaughter. i have no idea
i am just saying right off the bat, it sets off my bullshit meter. bullshit meter is hardly right 100% of the time, but i've learned to listen to it.
More interesting to me, is there any way they can sue for the court to dissolve the contract? If the contract is responsible for the police officer remaining on the force, can the contract be in violation of civil rights?
While I know it would never happen, it would be truly awesome if a police union contract would potentially be on the line every time there is a second major fuckup by a cop. And it really only affects cops, so probably wouldn't invite the entire rotten weight of the pubsec unions to crush the idea.
send the case to a Grand Jury.
This fine officer, in fear for his life... FEAR FOR HIS VERY LIFE, I say... had no option but to fire his service weapon. What reason is there to go forward with this case? The poor man has suffered enough. Let him return to the career he loves. Let him go back to defending you, and your wives, and your precious little children, Ladies and Gentlemen!
THAT is how Justice will best be served.
The south, and therefore Republicans, is/are racist.
It was tl;df for me, maybe you can make it through.
WHy is there a war on wheat?
mostly from the paleo people (tm). lots of paleo's at the Xfit gym i train at
I didn't think paleo and Curves went together.
"Many of the ingredients that are substituted for wheat ? such as rice flour or potato starch ? are just as rich in carbohydrates."
How shocking, especially since gluten is a protein, not a carbohydrate. Who would have thought that a grain that has less protein would have at least equivalent carbs?
IRT the Grand Central Parkway shooting I posted above: the cop claims, contrary to the witness, that the man was reaching under his seat for what he thought was a weapon. Now, the officer shot him from the front of the passenger window. Had he done so, it's almost an impossibility that he could have shot him in the abdomen, as the victim would have moved his torso either to the right and covered his abdomen or to the front and also covered it with his chest and right arm.* The most likely scenario is that his hands were on the steering wheel leaving a clear shot under his arm to his exposed abdomen, which is what the victim's passenger said.
*Moving to the front would have also offered cover from the steering wheel, making a gut shot highly unlikely.

One of Roger Ebert's correspondents explains why Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is not just the best of the Trek movies, but an all-time great adventure movie period.
NO FUCKING SHIT.
Yeah, but there's no Wesley Crusher, so it can't be that great compared to TNG.
TROLL
Look, we all know that Enterprise is the best Trek show. I am, of course, basing that solely on Jolene Blalock.
And Linda Park.
Yeah, Jeri Ryan was terrible. Idiot.
Are you actually saying you think Jeri Ryan is hotter than Jolene Blalock? I knew you had mental issues, but this...this is more serious than I thought.
Is it Opposite Day already? Thanks to Chicago politics we know that Ryan is into freaky shit. That's hawwwt.
None were close to Jennifer Lien...
Yeah, tell us something we didn't know. Of course, even Wrath of Khan cannot match the mastery of Star Trek V.
the mastery mystery of Star Trek V.
Blasphemer!! Star Trek: Save the Stupid Humpbacks is the superior film!!
Oh yeah? Well double dumbass on you!
Star Trek V was bad, but at least it tried to be different with the whole "searching for God" theme.
Star Trek V was bad, but at least it tried to be different with the whole "searching for God" theme.
Wait. Is that what it is all about? Ohhhh.
Reasonable blocks out any references to The Final Frontier.
Huh? No, V wasn't a Star Trek movie, it was a '80s mini series, no Star Trek involved. Perhaps you should see a doctor. I mean, next thing you know, you might suffer from the delusion that Highlander had a sequel.
It's a great film, period. It's actually hurt in overall reputation by being a Star Trek movie.
This. It's a movie that's most rewarding to those who are fans of the show and are thus most impressed by the solid characterizations and performances by Shatner, Nimoy, and Montalban. It's really the characters and pacing (and music) that drive the film rather than the visual effects and action, which were rather lacking.
No to mention Horner's soundtrack, which was pretty fucking awesome. I disagree that the effects were lacking. The final sequence in the nebula is very effective and is equal to any submarine movie in tension
The final sequence in the nebula is very effective and is equal to any submarine movie in tension
Obviously you've never watched Das Boot or Down Periscope.
I've been thinking that the boys need to watch Das Boot, which is a great movie, too.
It's best in the original unsubtitled German. And full length.
I didn't even know Kelsey Grammar spoke German. I'll have to look that up.
I've seen Das Boot, both the dubbed and subtitled versions. Good flick.
Still, I cheered when the Nazis died in the end.

Ex: I can't believe they're gonna jam up this boss for that. Yeah, he hit a woman...so what? It's in a job-related incident. In my time on the job, I've hit plenty of women, they are always the ones that fight, claw, scratch and everything else. A lot of male officers are afraid to do it, but I'm going home at the end of tour..so I don't care if you're a man or a woman..if I gotta lay you out to protect myself or my brothers/sisters in blue? It's going down. Keep your head up LT..us real deal cops, who aren't these corporate drones, where all they know is writing a BS ticket for riding a bike on the sidewalk..we're pulling for you brother.

Top five list of what my union has done for me:
5-With only 14 years on, I could make near six figures with just a small amount of OT and court time. I have yet to find a non union competitive to this. Certainly not in NC or SC.
4-With only 14 years on, I am able to enjoy 52 days off/yr (holidays, personal days, incentive days, and vacation only). This doesn't include my normal days off or sicktime. In fact, I have 170 sickdays in the bank cause I've never had to use one.
3-When sued more than once, I was well defended and have no judgements against me. Cost above normal dues...zero. This includes friends of mine who have experienced divorces.
Stay classy, P1
52 days of not including "normal days off or sicktime." fuck me
I have read only the above comment, and I am transported to a place beyond rage or hate. It is cold here. It makes me wish I were Cylon.
it's really a great example of the civil service mindset.

What the fuck does that even mean?
Get ready for Angry Birds 'Star Wars' edition.
Can't be that hard, you just fire the bird down the main reactor shaft.
That'll work the first time, sure.
Naw, the Imperial Pigs will just rebuild the same station with the exact same weaknesses again, only this time they'll make sure to leave an even bigger reactor shaft so the Falcon and some X-wings can fly in.
They'll make you fly through Beggar's Canyon busting Womprats for 1,000 levels first though.
Speaking of Star Wars, isn't it about time for another KOTOR sequel?
Mila Kunis named Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire.
I can agree with that.
It's stupid to try and set anyone at #1, but Mila Kunis certainly isn't a bad choice.
Meh - she's cute but way overrated.
In my humble opinion, the most beautiful woman in the world should still be drop dead gorgeous without Hollywood stylists.
Laugh all you want, but even at 43 this woman is in the top 5.
I'd take her over Mila Kunis any day. I guess I just don't get the freak-out over Mila, she's pretty plain-faced and average looking when not in costume.
Salma Hayek. That is all
If we're going with busty past their prime brunettes, Monica Bellucci clearly dominates Salma.
Do we have video of Monica dominating Salma?
Traffic Question:
Does a no-left turn sign imply no U-turn, or are U-Turns still legal at those intersection?
Yes. A u-turn is an extension of a left turn, so it would be illegal as well.
I would not do a U at a no-left. From the point of view of other traffic, a U is like a left, but worse.
Yes. No left turn, no u-turn either, unless marked otherwise (which I saw the other day.)
IOW, ram the offending fuckers out of the way.
Off to Thanksgiving Dinner.
Smell ya later!
You and your crazy holidays. Oh that's right, your insane nation must harvest everything before the late September snows kill it all, meanwhile it's in the high 70's in California's breadbasket so we don't bring everything in until next month...And once we do, we plant the next crop because we're not covered in 20 feet 6.5 meters of snow.
I hope you enjoy the Kraft Dinner.

I knew they spent a lot, but that's absurd.
And FWIW, I'm looking forward to the Reds bouncing the Gigantes tomorrow night.
And with that, I give you Bronson Arroyo and Aroldis Chapman in a pretty fucking funny commercial.
The city spends that much and yet still can't keep human feces from clogging up the BART escalators.
Ya know, if they paved the streets I'd be pleased.

"Will try to act presidential for money"
Isn't there an Iron Rule that applies here?
I guess in Kentucky, the age of consent doesn't mean shit to a publicity-whore of a prosecutor.
Even the "victim"'s mother refused to cooperate.
"We feel that it is a just and it is a fair result," prosecutor Sara Farmer said. "It's certainly difficult when a victim and his family don't cooperate by not providing information, but it makes our case a lot harder when they're actually proactive for a defendant, and in this case, the family was more than supportive of the Jones (family). They were proactive for them."
Someone is a little bit confused about the meaning of "just" and "fair," I think. And "victim"...
And "proactive"...
That dude is the luckiest kid in America. Though I wonder how he's going to go up from banging a NFL cheerleader at 17.
