Megaupload Chief May Have Been Subject to Long-Term Illegal Surveillance

The Government's spy agency may have been monitoring internet mogul Kim Dotcom before December, a court has heard today.

Dotcom's lawyer Paul Davison QC told the High Court at Auckland that evidence from police suggests there could have been more spying by the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB).

"Material from the FBI may well have been sourced by the GCSB and having been sent to the FBI may have some back," Mr Davison said.
