Over 350,000 less people in the labor force
The overall jobs market was weak for August, and this number will get a lot of attention.
The labor force shrunk by 367K and the participation rate has fallen to its lowest level since September, 1981.

No it won't. All we will hear is how Obama created 100,000 jobs in the past month (so now the 4.5 million meme will be 4.6 million), and how the u.e. rate went down from 8.3% to 8.1%. There will be no mention anywhere about how the population grew more than that, or about something as nuanced as the labor force part. rate.
