Change!: Obama's Self-Grade Slides from B+ to "Incomplete"
Back in December 2009, President Barack Obama was asked by 60 Minutes to grade his own presidency. The former law college teacher generously gave himself "a good, solid B-plus."
On the eve of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, Obama is still handing out easy grades to himself, telling a TV station in Colorado Springs that he rates an "incomplete" on the economy.
This isn't the first time he trotted out the idea that the dog ate his homework when it comes to digging out of the recession. Back in May on The View, he similarly called for an incomplete while slipping into the royal we. That time, he trotted out a Bidenism - "Don't compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative" - to argue that however shitty he's been as president, he's still better than Mitt Romney.
Which might just be his best strategy for re-election (just as Romney's preferred strategy is to focus on Obama's failings rather than his own plans).

Incomplete? Is that because he hasn't completely destroyed it, yet? Is that what he's waiting on?
"Incomplete", eh?
However much you believe you deserve to be held back so you repeat the class, that's not the American way. You'll be getting a social promotion out!
I award you zero points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
"Incomplete"?
Sure, thanx to the rethuglicans.
You didn't throw in the double.
It's no longer "rethuglicans" but "rethuglitards."
I'm surprised they miss the obvious
rethuglican'ts
Mr. Obama has no grade point average. Incomplete in all classes. Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son.
"If I had to grade myself? Awesome. And with another term I could definitely get that up to an Awesome+."
Imagine what he could do with a super duper congressional majority. No Republicans to ruin the curve.
Didn't you hear someone a few days ago say that he didn't really have control of Congress because 13 Democrats are just Blue-dogs who are basically Republicans? So he needs 74 Democrats in the Senate to be effective.
Contrast with Dumbya who couldn't name a mistake he made and would make all the same decisions again.
So saying that he has an incomplete on the economy, either completely ignoring or utterly ignorant and unaware that's he's fucked the damn thing up, is better?
Fuck off, shrike.
Not much contrast here. We are witnessing the third term of Bush.
Has Obama ever admitted to a mistake or wrong decision? Besides "not communicating how great my policies are"?
He still thinks he's in the academy where an incomplete is given in the event one couldn't finish a particular assignment(s) due to illness or some other extreme case which made it impossible to complete a course. But even in the academy an incomplete was never given when a student completely fucked up an assignment and simply failed but says "I need more time."
In the real world, "incomplete" is exactly the same as "failure." And that's EXACTLY what Obama has been.
Oh I think he should move on to where his strength really lies - writing multiple autobiographies. The last 4 years should generate enough material for at least two books.
He's only good at writing autobiographies on nothing. He can't write a book about an actual record.
lol never really thought about it like that before edude.

I suppose that gives us a hint at his unreleased transcripts, if he thinks a B+ is "good". Not exactly the genius he's made out to be, is he?
In the days before grade inflation, B+ was a good grade. Now it's like a C used to be.
It's not a bad grade, but certainly not genius level.
Incomplete...the new "present"
As a former "professor", Obama should know you can't just give an incomplete, you also have to record a default letter grade which the student gets if the work is not completed within a certain time period (usually 6 months). Of course he's probably one of the namby-pambies who gave out A's to everyone.
Don't compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative
In other words, the only way for him to win is for the goal posts to be moved.
THAT is change we can believe in.
Do the same for Bush: Don't compare him and his administration to some ideal when it comes to civil liberties, compare to him an alternative like Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. See, Bush and admin are good, solid civil libertarians now.
