Hamas Wants to Coordinate Security Operations with Egypt
Mursi allegedly told Hamas leadership that Egypt and the Palestinians are on "the same side".
GAZA, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Hamas wants to enhance security cooperation with Egypt and protect shared borders, the prime minister of the militant Palestinian organization said.
"Yes, we want security coordination with our brothers and strategic depth [in Egypt] and not with the Zionist enemy," The Jerusalem Post quoted Ismail Haniyeh as telling thousands of worshipers during an Eid al-Fitr prayer service Sunday in Gaza.
