Prosecutors: Biofuel Cheat Bought Patton Tank With EPA Credits
Received $41.7 million in fuel credits from the EPA for biofuel prosecutors allege he never made
The CEO of Absolute Fuel lied about producing biofuel, sold the resulting renewable fuel credits for $41.7 million and used some of the money to buy a Patton tank, federal prosecutors say.
Indicted on 79 counts of wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements under the Clean Air Act were Jeffrey David Gunselman, Absolute and four other entities Gunselman controlled.
