Putin Wades in on Pussy Riot Trial

Recommends leniency

Russian President Vladimir Putin may have criticized Pussy Riot's musical protest against him, but he has recommended leniency toward members of the feminist band currently on trial in Moscow.

Putin, who was in London for talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron and to take in some Olympic events, offered his first reactions to the trial on Thursday.
