Reason Writers on TV: Shikha Dalmia on Unions Bankrupting Detroit
"You cannot tax fast enough to pay for all the promises you've made, and the more you tax the productive class the more it leaves the city," says Reason senior policy analyst Shikha Dalmia on Detroit.
Dalmia appeared on Fox Business to discuss how the Michigan bailout of Detroit only delays the inevitable. She suggests the city council rewrite contracts with union employees in order to lower its finical burden and deflate its ballooning deficit.

Although I think it's a little early to start drinking.
If the public employee unions have showed us anything in places like Detroit and California over the past few years, it's that if bankrupting their respective governments is wrong, then they don't want to be right.
Everyone should take a close look at Detroit and realize, things have to get even worse than that before the unions will make the necessary concessions on their own.
Basically, the unions will never make concessions.
Like pernicious parasites, they don't give a damn if they kill their host, they think that they can just move onto another one.
Shikha is such a hottie! Is it me, or has anyone else noted the increase in hot libertarian women at Reason?
Okay, carry on. I just had to get that off my chest.
When people take their longchamps, they will want to have a puff of wind very much. Why they want wind at that time? Because they think their sac longchamp pas cher can make them feel cool and the cool of wind can make then feel cooler.
