George Will on the Bogus Case Against Super PACs
Washington Post columnist George Will is not impressed by the current liberal outrage about super PACs:
Critics of super PACs — critics who were remarkably reticent in 2004 when George Soros was lavishing his own money on liberal advocacy — often refer to them as "outside groups," much as Southern sheriffs used to denounce civil rights workers as "outside agitators."
Pray tell: Super PACs are outside of what? Is the political process a private club with the parties and candidates controlling membership?
It might be more wholesome for the speech-financing money that is flowing to super PACs to go instead to the parties and candidates' campaigns. But the very liberals who are horrified by super PACs (other than Barack Obama's) have celebrated the laws that place unreasonable restrictions on such giving.

Gotta love how the left got their collective panties all in a bunch over Citizen's United, and then just the other day that fucking jackwad Bill Maher donates $1 million to Obama's SuperPAC.
Of course, rank hypocrisy is pretty much the left's stock in trade.
*Sucks in air*
Repeat after us: It's OK when WE do it.

It's amusing that, after reading Will's column, one is offered a link to EJ Dionne's malinformed/mendacious column where he denounces the CU because of - guess what? - Sheldon Adelson's support of Newt Gingrich.
Why anyone listens to that prick is beyond me.

Okay, look: Liberals think that people with a lot of money and corporations are evil.
If I had to give a reason, I think it's because liberals have never gotten over the fact that the liberal consensus was destroyed in the 80s. They blame the SoCons and big, evil rich people and corporations for tricking the poor into caring more about social issues than economic issues.
I think that many liberals believe that without corporations and rich people out there, peddling lies and slander that only benefit themselves, then the great mass of the oppressed poor would rise up and end classism, racism, sexism, cisgenderism, hetronormativity, capitalism, etc. We would instead see the great, non-priveled, non-oppresive society that was built on transformational social justice.
Of course, the poor people would lop off these overeducated assholes head the minute the guillotine was dusted off.
Yep that about sums us up.
HA! You have fallen into my trap! While I would end hetronormativity, I did NOT specifically include asexuals. Therefore I, and by extension you, OTHERED them!
Thanks for the info.
I laugh at people who don't like the Citizens United decision, because they lost. I don't feel bad about laughing, because they are assholes who want to limit free speech.
But ... SUPERPAAAAAAACS!!!!11!
