Reason Presents an Evening with Kurt Loder
Reason magazine and the Los Angeles Press Club invite you to join Reason.com movie critic Kurt Loder, in celebration of his new book The Good, The Bad, and the Godawful: 21st Century Movie Reviews.
Entertainment Weekly wrote, "Every sentence [is] a witty, take-no-prisoners surprise," and ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly said, "Reading this book is like sitting next to Kurt at the movies…only you get to laugh as loud as you want!"
Kurt Loder was a staff writer and senior editor at Rolling Stone for nine years, where he remains a contributing editor. He was also writer and host of MTV's THE WEEK IN ROCK for more than a decade and reviewed thousands of movies for MTV.com. He is the co-author of Tina Turner's autobiography, I Tina, a New York Times bestseller.
Join Reason and Loder for a discussion, cash bar and complimentary hors d'oeuvres.

DAMMIT! I'm gonna be out of town today, too.
speaking of great movies, just recorded an HD version of the 1932 masterpiece, shanghai express, starring a young & stunning marlene dietrich. >the scene where the train slowly runs thru the trackside shanties is considered classic chiaroscuro.

"classic chiaroscuro"
I thought the Romanians hung him.
I accidently RSVP'd to Ron Mexico. I hope this isn't going to cause me problems.
David Bowie sure is looking old these days.
It's some kind of Bowie-Cushing mashup.
THE THIN WHITE DUKE DOES NOT AGE
"The guy from Labyrinth turned into a bird!"
Neither does Iman. Say, how is that possible?
It isn't.
I am glad I am not the only one who thought that.
That alt-text was lacking.
I'd have added an umlaut.
+1
Kurt Loder.
Finally, an event in LA!
Will Tim be wearing his mobster outfit?
Nice, but what about Barry Roemer?
That picture of Kurt is unfortunate.
Also, I'm of an age that I can't see Kurt Loder without hearing the opening bass line of Peace Sells in my head.
Dude looks like a hardass.
Please, nobody let him see an empty plastic bottle or he will flee with flashbacks of his Woodstock tower performance.
Reason needs to book Billy Drago.
Thanks Reason, for the early warning. If I had known a week ago, I could have changed my plans. Maybe next time?
