Florida State Trooper Teamed With TSA to Ship and Sell Oxycodone
Because why should Florida pill mills get all that money?
Transportation Security Administration officers worked with police from New York and Florida to ship tens of thousands of oxycodone pills to New York and Connecticut, federal and local police said Tuesday.
The arrests of three TSA officers, a Westchester County police officers and a Florida state trooper and others will be announced at an afternoon press conference, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office.

If we only paid them more, they wouldn't want to commit these crimes!
It's a good thing they have the union to protect them from this arbitrary and capricious prosecution.
So which is it? Oxycontin or Oxycodone? The original article states nothing about Oxycontin.
Brand name vs. generic chemical descriptor.
Ketchup vs catsup.
The media also mixes-up methamphetamine with methadone frequently.
Oxycontin is a preparation of oxycodone. The important difference is that Oxycontin is pure oxycodone in a time-release mechanism, where as all other preparations of oxycodone mix it with some other drug (mainly acetaminophen) as an overuse limiter.
Oxycontin is far more valuable per pill.
I've been mixing my Actos and Metformin and trying to sell the concoction on the street. So far, no takers. Odd.
theres already a pill called actosplusmet i know i take it keep up with your black market research hehe
And that's why I asked the question. As I said, the original article says nothing about Oxycontin. People think Oxycontin and Oxycodone are interchangeable terms, and they are not.
But Reason has already modified the title of their summary post to reflect that, so it's a moot point.
Actually it does come in a pure immediate release formulation called OxyIR. And no, you can't have any.
Clearly they meant Oxytocin, the cuddle hormone.
When I read the head-line, I thought it was another sting gone rogue
ditto
Move along, nothing to see here, a few bad apples, we have procedures.
Have I missed anything?
Cut us some slack. I mean, nothing else happened.
A Super Troopers picture with no alt text? You're the worst kind of monster.
"...and that was the second time I got crabs."
"These boys get that syrup in 'em, they get all antsy in their pantsy."
"Now to teach you boys a lesson, Officer Rabbit and I are going to sit here and watch you three smoke the whole bag."
I love the super troopers pic with the post.im freaking out man.im shocked shocked i tell you that there is malfeasance going on in various government agencies who woulda thunk it
i beleive sugarfree has hydrocodone and oxycodone mixed up there nttawwt
Oxy:IR immediate release capsules and Roxicodone (generic of same) were discontinued in 2009 at the direction of the FDA. All that remains on the US market is Percocet (oxy+ acetaminophen) and Percodan (oxy+ aspirin.)
Of course, if unlike the stuff the FDA effectively banned, the stuff the FDA permits will destroy your liver if you take more of it than the FDA has decided you need.
I figure the death toll due to the FDA will be greater than the Holocaust in not too many more years if it isn't already.
FDA: It's better that people die than get high.
A tenet of Obamacare!
I just ordered some OxyIR today on a patient with rib fractures. Are you sure about the discontinuation?
dang where do you practice? I've broken my ribs on three occasions (extreme sports have that side effect) and all I get are scrips for ibuprofen.
Heh, we do what we have to in order to keep people off the respirator. You just need to clutch your chest and take shallower and shallower breaths until you're at risk for pulmonary collapse and VOILA! It helps if you are elderly.
No far-more-valuable-preparation-of-fried-flour-and-sugar for those piggies! Where's the part about paid administrative leave? Does a bad cop have to kill a handicapped bum to get some vacation time?
sorry sugar i misunderestimated your knowledge i stand before you humbled and shamed that is all
Never question sugarfree's knowledge of drugs. Else he will show up at your doorstep and drink all your beer. He he, but the last time he did it to me, I sneaked in a snickers and watched him flop around like a fish.
::sigh::
Prohibition breeds corruption.
This is another example of TSA corruption and abuse. Instead of protecting the airways, these criminals resort to exploiting the system for their own benefit. This is worse than the situation that ultimately led to the 9/11 tragedy. The private screeners were handicapped by a lack of information from the FBI, but at least they weren't criminals.
Since December, there have now been fifty screeners arrested or convicted of crimes including rape, child molesting, theft, assault and drug trafficking. There is clearly a problem when an agency of 54,000 is on pace to have 70 employees arrested for work related crimes in a year. And these are just the ones that have been discovered, while countless others go undetected.
TSA can't prevent crime within their own ranks, why would anyone trust this agency with airport security? While airport security is vital, it is not without limits and the agency cannot be allowed to persist in this corrupt and arrogant behavior.

The three people removed from the Detroit flight on Sunday, were detained 6 hours and strip searched. Welcome to the new America.
