  1. Reason.tv Editor in Chief Nick Gillespie appeared on Fox Business’s Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano to talk about the plan to increase the estate tax to 35 percent[.]

That is, tax what was taxed already, or how to screw a victim twice.

Who was it that said, some time ago, that the reason the estate should be taxed is because the beneficiaries were “undeserving”?

    1. That would be MNG, I believe.

I never could get him to explain how the state was more deserving than the heirs, though.

      1. Re: R C Dean,

I never could get him to explain how the state was more deserving than the heirs, though.

That’s because one can’t – not with a straight face. The problem with the assertion is that it begs the question. When I pointed this out to him, he became livid.

  2. We must not let perfection be the enemy of corruption.

  3. Does that Elizabeth McDonald ever let anyone finish a single thought without interrupting? Jesus Christ. She’s like Bill O’Reilly with a vagina.

    1. Re: Rick H.

Does that Elizabeth McDonald ever let anyone finish a single thought without interrupting?

Never has, never will – she’s a regular in Forbes on Fox and is as ridiculous as here.

      1. Although she is far prettier than Nancy “I never knew a Union I didn’t like!” Skinner.

  4. As it was the last time, The Jacket was the voice of reason, and I still want to punch that blonde bitch in the throat……and maybe backhand Liz Mcdonald for not shutting the hell up for two seconds.

    1. Re: Adonisus,

[…]and I still want to punch that blonde bitch in the throat[…]

Oh, man – she’s the worst. One time, the Judge asked her “If Congress determines the sun promotes skin cancer, can Congress then make us wear hats?”

Ask me if she answered that simple question – go ahead. Ask me. She gives a new face to “Blond, Dumb Bimbo.”

    2. Yes, Nick has the patience of Jesus for just sitting there quietly during those head-assploding rants.
I imagine he preps for these shows by reminding himself how butt-fucking stupid everyone he’s debating with is going to be.

  5. The Judge is the best interviewer on the all-news channels. He at least knows how to ask an open-ended question and let the guest answer.

Most of them seem to think interviewing consists of spewing some talking points like a rabbit on meth, and giving the guest a few seconds to agree.

    1. Re: RC Dean,

Most of them [interviewers] seem to think interviewing consists of spewing some talking points like a rabbit on meth, and giving the guest a few seconds to agree.

Lawrence O’Donnell and Bill O’Reilly come to mind.

“… and I’ll give you the last word!”

“Uh… ok. After your lengthy rant?”

  6. “Unrealized Capital Gains!”
    “Income Inequality!”
    “Fiefdoms!”

    BLARGH!!!!!!!

A clown punching bag would be cheaper than Nancy Skinner. Probably more entertaining too.

  7. What is wrong with the mics in these shows? The hosts’ voices all sound strained like they’re yelling quietly. Except for Mr. Gillespie.

    1. It’s your computer. Turn the sound up. I did… on my Surround sound Bose system. ‘Twas easy as pie.

  8. Look, don’t you realize that any money we’re left with is a GIFT from government? Rep. Elijah Cummings said so today on MSNBC…
