    Awesome! Congratulations, John S.!

      Touch me where I pee.

      1. BakedPenguin   15 years ago

You're still here, Edward? I thought you were dead.

        1. Kool   15 years ago

+1000 if that representation of Warty is Danzig from ATHF.

          1. Kool   15 years ago

Stupid brain... that guy's from metalocalypse, right?

            1. BakedPenguin   15 years ago

              Yes - "Nathan Explosion"

            2. Warty   15 years ago

              Nathan Explosion. Enjoy his work.

      2. Invisible Finger   15 years ago

Why would I touch you in the mouth?

  2. TrickyVic   15 years ago

I don't know if that's a good thing. They can retry him after they get their story straight.

    1. Warty   15 years ago

Well, it'll take them another two years to figure out how to order a DVD instead of incompetently downloading a broken torrent of a DVDrip, so Stagliano has some time.

    2. Cyto   15 years ago

My cynical side is with TrickyVic. Did jeopardy attach in this case, or is it still open?

    3. Virginia   15 years ago

Rule 29. Motion for a Judgment of Acquittal

      Afterparty?

      1. nothinghead   15 years ago

Rule 29? I would have figured rule 34 would apply to this case.

        1. hmm   15 years ago

          touche

          or touchy

Is that what "thrown out" refers to? I can't reach twitter from here...

  3. anarch   15 years ago

    Squirters run free!

  8. creech   15 years ago

Does he get to recover his legal expenses or can the gov't just maliciously and frivolously prosecute someone until they are broke?

    1. libertymike   15 years ago

As Josh Ashton, playing the role of bounty hunter and niccotine needy Marvin Dorfler, in Midnight Run, responded to the airline attendant's query whether he would prefer "smoking or non-smoking"

      Take a wild f........guess!

    2. Raven   15 years ago

      You're kidding, right?

  9. Suki   15 years ago

How long is Reason going to milk this story?

    1. Ska   15 years ago

For as long as you gush about it.

    2. fresno dan   15 years ago

I have never see such fat udders!

    3. WTF   15 years ago

I'm growing increasingly intolerant of it.

    5. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

      Time to moo-ve on?

    6. Paul   15 years ago

They're just trying to squirt a little reason into the debate.

      1. Suki   15 years ago

        +1 😉

  10. libertymike   15 years ago

Hooray, yes. But let's not kid ourselves. This man has been made to endure an ordeal a free society would not permit.

    1. TrickyVic   15 years ago

""This man has been made to endure an ordeal a free society would not permit.""

Which is why it was permitted here.

In another 200 years, free society will be like the city of Atlantis. Did it really exist?

Ok, who am I kidding with the 200 year mark.

  11. In Time Of War   15 years ago

I am overjoyed he is, for the time being at least, a free man.
And to further demonstrate that obscenity laws are an unjustified infringement on adult behavior, I will continue, of my own free will, to not purchase or view his movies. Others are free to do as they wish.

    1. abc   15 years ago

      agreed

  12. fresno dan   15 years ago

When you consider the money spent to defend oneself against obvious lying, the lack of any consequences to the agent, the absolute and total inability of the bar to investigate or sanction its own....why yes, justice was not totally tortured, raped, and buried alive...for once.

  13. Ken Shultz   15 years ago

    Three cheers for common sense!

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   15 years ago

      Yes...for now...

  14. TrickyVic   15 years ago

This isn't really a victory for anyone. Execpt maybe Stagliano and time will tell about that.

When I put my tin foil hat on, I think the judge did it to avoid shedding light on his involvement with the prosecution during the appeal.

    1. Cyto   15 years ago

And since he got cut lose because the prosecution and investigation was incompetent, what are the odds that they come back for another bite at the apple with a new sting operation? Now they have a roadmap as to what NOT to do....

  15. Old Man With Candy   15 years ago

Where do I go to get my reputation back?

  16. TrickyVic   15 years ago

My prediction is that they know he will continue to do what he does, and they can use the lessons learned from this trial to take a better run at Stagliano next time.

  17. kilroy   15 years ago

I think I'll buy something from his company, just to celebrate.

    1. People for Etthical Analingus   15 years ago

      +100

    2. TrickyVic   15 years ago

We should all call the prosecutors office and ask which film they thought was best.

      1. hmm   15 years ago

Or just sign them all up for free porn to their emails and a few subscriptions for the office. I'd pay.

  18. People for Ethical Analingus   15 years ago

    BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN!

    BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN!

    BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN!

    BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN!

    BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN! BUTTMAN!

  19. Marshall Gill   15 years ago

When I put my tin foil hat on, I think the judge did it to avoid shedding light on his involvement with the prosecution during the appeal.

That isn't what happened at all.

You know how when you watch a DVD over, and over, and over, it eventually gets scratched and doesn't work?

The prosecution is clearly VERY intimate with Mr. Stagliano's work.

    1. TrickyVic   15 years ago

      LOL.

    2. TrickyVic   15 years ago

      LOL.

    3. hmm   15 years ago

SO you're saying the pages were stuck together?

      1. BeltwayLurker   15 years ago

That is the new thing on a different part of the hill.

  20. Kevin   15 years ago

So, it's safe to download porn again, right? Any bots have some suggestions for good sites?

    1. Warty   15 years ago

If you can't find your own high-quality porn, you need your internet license revoked.

      1. LarryA   15 years ago

Or a job with the FBI.

    2. AnonymityBotfucker   15 years ago

Dude, sounds like a lot of fun!

      Here U go:

The "pirvacy" (pervacy?) was a nice touch. Or a nice R.C.'z Law.

  21. XXX   15 years ago

  22. Colin   15 years ago

The bad news is that they can keep hounding him forever, until they do get a conviction, viz Lenny Bruce.

    But today's a good day.

  23. JW   15 years ago

Fucking awesome. Milk enemas for everyone!

  24. wingnutx   15 years ago

    This is great news.

Seriously, though, I'm sick of otherwise great porn being ruined by the milk-squirting schtick.

  25. tom baden   15 years ago

I am being prosecuted for obscenity for a single image. of me!

They have been prosecuting me for 3 years in riverside ca. It is insane!

Is this image obscene? If you are a lawyer with a desire to kill a dragon, can you come to riverside and kill this prosecution for me? my email is above.

see the image at the URL above under "obscene image"
