New Site for Serious Writing and Reading About Law
The Brennan Center for Law at New York University has a new contribution to the likely future of "serious" writing about "serious" subjects on the Web: specialty sites by special interest institutions. (The Brennan Center's self-description: "part think tank, part public interest law firm, part advocacy group—the Brennan Center combines scholarship, legislative and legal advocacy, and communications to win meaningful, measurable change in the public sector.")
Fans of books about the law will want to quickly bookmark "Just Books" for David Remnick on Obama's law school career, Eric Alterman interviewing Garry Wills on the national security state, former Congressman Mickey Edwards on the politics of American national security, plus lots more. Yes, it's a little bit of usual suspects overkill of left and centrist liberalism, but still worth watching.
