"Manhattan Madam" Takes Status Demotion, Seeks to go From Whorehouse to Statehouse
Kristin Davis, the "Manhattan Madam" who helped bring down the rein of terror and awfulness that was Eliot Spitzer's stay in Albany simply by providing him with prostitutes, is running for governor of New York on a "personal freedom" ticket that includes legalizing pot and prostitution (or P2). Reports the Daily News ("the eyes, the ears, the honest voice of New York"):
"I am the only candidate who is not part of the corrupt and dysfunctional system of New York State politics," the buxom blond declared in announcing her independent bid.
And she has the fix for the state's gaping budget hole: legalizing and taxing—you guessed it—prostitution, as well as marijuana.
More here. More power to her, and the people of New York, who are suffering through the worst one-two punch of governors since, I don't know, Pataki and Cuomo.
Here's some video on her honor's announcement. And here's her own site, well worth a visit.
