Putting on the Ritz
Ceara Sturgis, 17, doesn't even own a dress. Sturgis says she's openly gay, and she wants to wear a tuxedo in her high school yearbook senior photograph. But school officials at Wesson Attendance Center in Jackson, Mississippi, say only boys can dress in tuxedos. Sturgis, her family, and the American Civil Liberties Union say they may take the matter to court.

Nobody wants to wear a tuxedo.
I LOVE wearing a tux! The key is to have a tux that fits right and looks good on you.
Mine is bespoke, so it does both.

Tuxedo Hits 4 Jesus.
As long as she's not baring breasts or genitalia she should be allowed to wear whwtever the hell she wants including a t shirt that reads "Screw Wesson Attendance Center".
Go for the lawsuit. It may discourage other petty bureaucrats from enacting equally stupid and arbitrary rules.

How about a tuxedo top with a skirt bottom? Technically a dress, but the skirt won't show and she'll get the picture she wants.
She WANTS to wear a tux? Gawd, she is gay.
Let's just be real clear about this, Wesson is NOT in Jackson, OK? Wesson is COUNTRY.
This is only a problem because it's a government school.
What kind of school is called an Attendance Center?
The kind of school where they've stopped pretending that anything matters beyond students showing up so they can be counted for funding purposes.
