Watch Judge Napolitano's Freedom Watch
From Jacob Hornberger's blog, praise for Reason contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano's excellent web show, Freedom Watch:
The last thing that conservatives and liberals have wanted on their television shows on a regular basis has been libertarians, for two reasons:
One, they don't want people interfering with their little game, one in which they argue over how best to make their welfare-warfare paradigm work and which statists, Republican or Democrat, should be running it.
Two, they do not know how to handle, in an intellectual sense, libertarian arguments that call for the dismantling, not the reform, of their welfare-warfare programs.
Along comes Napolitano and with his Internet program Freedom Watch has broken the dam by flooding his show with libertarian commentators. All of sudden, people are having the opportunity to watch and listen to hard-core, pure libertarian analysis and commentary on current events from leading libertarian thinkers, which blasts the statism of both conservatives and liberals to kingdom-come. And I know I'm biased, but Napolitano's show is one heckuva lot more interesting and exciting than the shows run by the conservatives and liberals.
Various Reasoners have appeared on Freedom Watch. Check the show out here.

You can find the odd libertarian on exactly two cable TV networks: FOX News and C-SPAN.

This must be stopped!
That's why Matt Welch is never on...lol
Judge's show is a start, but we really need our own news channel.
At the very least, a news web site to compete with CNN.com and others. Coming from a background of software development for the news industry, I'm aware of at least one fantastic open-source package which can power a high-traffic news site for peanuts. Just add reporters, editors, and advertisers.
Who's gonna make it happen? I'd do it myself if I had the capital.
reason.tv?
I would love to see a Reason News Channel or Reason News Network on my television one day. Or hell, if Reason would just start posting regularly scheduled episodes of informative programming reason.tv that are >10 long, it would be a great start.
How interesting. All of this assumes that these shows are of any value to begin with. Didn't Paine say that the long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it the appearance of being right? You could certainly see the wisdom of that in the confrontational, opinionated, faux-analytical, trendy, and mostly empty-headed quality of these so-called shows, where rhetoric, obfuscation, and spin are central to an argument. Pathetic, really.
Thank goodness that Andrew Lynch is none of the things he complains about.
Thank you for recognizing that.

We apparently need better spam-filtering.
Isn't the Judge's show already aired on Fox News once a week? The article says it is web-only.

Tell Andrew Napolitano not to speek of Goldman the way he did today. In fact tell him not to mention them any more.
Sincerely, Randy
