Inside, democratic lawmakers had a difficult time delivering their opening remarks as they were met with shouts of "You work for us!'' "Tyranny! tyranny! tyranny!'' and "Read the bill!" the Tampa Tribune reported.
priceless
Sorry, these protests won't impress me until they breakout the roofing material.
Happiness is a warm tar pot.
Doc 'yote,
I'm guessing you mean tar and feathering.
Though, I'm finding it funny thinking of them just tossing hot tar on some of the clowns in congress.
As far as I can tell from the reports, the violence in St. Louis and Florida was the result of progressive activists attacking the protestors.
We'll see if that element of the story is quashed today to allow the media to push the "Politics of Chaos" meme they've decided to push.
Frankly, after Rick Sanchez' performance yesterday, CNN's offices and Sanchez' home and the homes of his producers should be besieged by protestors, too.
A Chinese "Internet addict" is beaten to death at a "rehab camp."
Well they cured him of his addiction, he won't be on the internet anymore.
Its so nice to see some members of Congress finally getting the respect that they deserve at these town hall meetings.
Is there a list somewhere of these town hall meetings? All my states congressman have terrible websites.
It's fantastic to watch the progressive professional protest groups get outnumbered on their own turf. My hope is that once the traditionally conservative populace of this country gets rolling on these things, we may see a new era where the organized-for-the-media demonstrations of small numbers of left-wing twits just get swamped by real people who don't want big government screwing them over any more.
Kyle, feathers are optional and always a nice touch. But traditionally, some incidental third-degree burns were part of joy of a good tar and feathering.
And to play on today's DNC word "constructive" - isn't tar a construction material?
I've done my part this morning by signing the snitch site, flag@whitehouse.gov up for some nice porn.
We'll see if that element of the story is quashed today to allow the media to push the "Politics of Chaos" meme they've decided been told to push.
The protesters are wearing swastikas after all. Nancy said so.
LiveJournal was down? I hope that our new friend Bruce wasn't affected at all.
Good thing the overhaul will handle pre-existing conditions, like injuries sustained at townhall meetings.
People still use LiveJournal?
Very nice link from the Instapundit today, BTW, pointing out that the Obama snitch operation is a violation of federal law.
With any luck, someone who has been reported to it will file a lawsuit.
If you go to whitehouse.gov, do the feds own your computer?
Five U.S. Marines killed in Afghanistan.
Thank you president chickenhawk.

A majority of Americans now opposes the war in Afghanistan.
What is our goal in Afghanistan now? I sure it's no longer installing a stable demcracy with respect for human rights.
To the left - Don't even try to deny it, Afghanistan is Obama's war now.
From a CNN article about the Afghanistan poll:
"Afghanistan is almost certainly the Obama policy that Republicans like the most," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "Nearly two-thirds of Republicans support the war in Afghanistan. Three-quarters of Democrats oppose the war."
What turned 3/4 of democrats against the war in Afghanistan? I understood the arguments against Iraq, but Afghanistan? There's no "blood for oil" thing, there's no "lies about WMD", there's no Freudian psychoanlalitc link to an attack on Bush's father.
What gives?
"What is our goal in Afghanistan now?"
Proving our chickenhawk president is a macho man.
What is our goal in Afghanistan now?
To complete the training of the flying killer robots who will eventually hunt humanity into extinction.
? Peter Schiff's first Money Bomb is today. Please donate!
? A majority of Americans now opposes the war in Afghanistan.
I wonder how Americans feel about Congress funding a "permanent standing nation-building office."
... there's no Freudian psychoanlalitc link to an attack on Bush's father.
Well, maybe just a *little*.
? Denial-of-service attacks hit Twitter, Facebook, and LiveJournal.
This was referred to in the original article, but now it's been all but confirmed...
"Web attack 'aimed at one blogger'"
"What is our goal in Afghanistan now?"
Continuing corporate welfare for Raytheyon & etc.
DUH!
Makes you suspect that that arguments against Iraq weren't the real arguments, huh?
I suspect that many of them who were previously in favor of Afghanistan were using it as a point of comparison to Iraq and as an argument of "we should be sending more troops to where the *real* action is." With Iraq no longer an issue, they didn't have to hold up Afghanistan as an example that proved that they were moderate and responsible, and only against this one particularly stupid war.
I have long predicted that as soon as Iraq went away, most Democrats would turn against the war in Afghanistan.
There has been no increase
