Keeping Track of Stimulus By Agency and County
ProPublica launches its fresh breakdown of stimulus spending, promised and to come, divided by federal agency. It joins their stimulus breakdown by state and county. There, now with some study you can know more about what's going on with the stimulus than most of our elected representatives.

Ugh. There's no money to give back. I'd rather not cut taxes and borrow the difference.
The economy will probably come back on its own, eventually, and since there's not Smoot-Hawley this time, it will happen faster than the Great Depression. Thus, Democrats will likely be able to take credit.
FTA: "The success of the federal stimulus program may hinge on the speed with which the government is able to distribute the billions authorized by Congress."

But if they give it back, we don't have to come crawling on our bellies to DC every time we want a school room painted or a pothole filled. Can you imagine the horror?
I feel the need to post this youtube video of the 1993 debate on NAFTA between Al Gore and Ross Perot. I was just reading up on the Great Depression and found out that Al Gore actually endorsed the view that the Depression was caused by Smoot-Hawley. It hurts to agree on something with Al Gore...
Well, I'm glad somebody is keeping track of my money. God knows the federal government isn't.

mantooth, see, there's this thing called "air conditioning..."
However, yes.
Is it possible to create a similar breakout of stimulus *taking/contribution* by state and county? Side-by-side comparison with "spending" might be interesting.
Oldham County, KY: $327,469
$6 per capita.
Don't worry, I won't spend it all in one place.
Ha! $186 per capita in my county, bitches! I feel all stimulated.
