To be fair, I have a pug/chihuahua mix and he’s a vicious little bastard especially if you have no business around me.

in other news “local police officer takes public relations gift and turns it into a nightmare”

  5. John   16 years ago

That link yet another Dave gives is just amazing. Do they have some kind of “sick sadistic fuck” test they give at the police acadamy? Anyone not willing to torture a kitten to death gets kicked out? I say the same thing on all these threads; police unions should be illegal, and there should be a national licensing system for cops. Fire these sick fucks.

I’ve seen Ceasr Milan handle 90 pound pit bulls with nothing more than a tennis racket. By the way, he doens’t hit the dogs with the tennis racket, just uses it to keep from getting bitten like the douchbag in Blue Ash 19 times on one hand and 7 times on the other.

Just make the cops watch one season of the Dog Whisperer.

It might help them with their people skills, too.

  7. John   16 years ago

“Just make the cops watch one season of the Dog Whisperer. ”

No. Have cops be subject to the dicipline of an overseer. The overseer will be some huge guy with a foul temper who hates cops. Whever a cop acts like a bully or does something stupid, he gets a session where the overseer beats the living snot out of him.

Much like I believe all Christ-invoking politicians should be shadowed by a Franciscan Friar with a baseball bat. Beating the shot out of hypocrites is an ecumenical duty.

  9. Jeff P   16 years ago

Outrage over cops killing dogs will dwarf that of the SWAT-tactic raid deaths, which is pretty pathetic to start with.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to rid ourselves of little yappy dogs. We shouldn’t need law enforcement to do it. Royalty and gentry bred them into the horrific unnatural things they are today, let them go extinct with dignity.

  10. John   16 years ago

“Much like I believe all Christ-invoking politicians should be shadowed by a Franciscan Friar with a baseball bat. Beating the shot out of hypocrites is an ecumenical duty.”

I like that idea. But it has to include politicians from both sides. The Reverend Jesee and the Obamasiah both get their own Friar.

  11. I like dogs, but. . .   16 years ago

I have no sympathy for the chihuahua. Damn things need to die.

    Cops are still bastards, though.

  12. MNG   16 years ago

Cops should answer to the citizens they police in the form of a civilian review board with teeth.

I cannot fathom what bullshit excuse they give for having to kill these tiny dogs…

  13. Fluffy   16 years ago

One really alarming thing about the chihuahua story, above and beyond the fact that the poor dog died, is that there are men walking the street somewhere in America exercising the police power who are SO STUPID that they will allow themselves to be bitten by an animal 25 times before one of them thinks to themselves, “Hey, maybe if I throw my coat over this 5 pound dog it will be easier to pick up.”

That’s too stupid to even be allowed a driver’s license, in my opinion. If you’re that stupid, you should only be allowed in public with a health aide monitoring your progress at all times.

  14. bigbigslacker   16 years ago

I found a better story on the OH dog shooting. I lost the link, but I did copy the text:

CINCINNATI — A Blue Ash family is outraged after returning home to find their dog had been shot and killed by a stupid motherfucker with emotional problems.

When the Bullocks returned home from a family member’s funeral on Friday, they found blood and three bullets on their front porch – along with a note to call the assholes at the Blue Ash Police Department about their dog.

The Bullocks were shocked to learn that Jack had gotten out of the backyard and two cruel pieces of fucking shit who tried to fuck him, ended up shooting and killing him right on the family’s front porch, because they could.

“He was cornered on the porch and scared,” said Sharon Bullock. “The dumb-ass officer bent down bare-handed to pick up Jack, and Jack bit him.”

To prevent them growing up to be cop killers and to provide them with a false sense of trust concerning the police, the Bullocks told their five-year-old and three-year-old sons that Jack ran away.

The Bullocks admit they were at fault for leaving their dog outside, and are sorry the officer was only bitten and not killed, but they say their dog was not a vicious animal and had never bitten anyone who wasn’t a complete jackoff. The Bullocks are refusing the cities demand that they pay for the three bullets.

In public, they’re wondering out loud why the retards in uniform didn’t call the SPCA to catch the dog. In private, the operating theory is the officers’ low intelligence made remembering and dialing phone numbers exceptionally difficult.

“They didn’t make that phone call other than to come scoop the dog off the porch after they shot him,” said Scott Bullock. “Two grown men with small penises that can’t gather up a five-pound dog – and they’re trained police officers – sounds ridiculous to me.”

That officer later explained to the family that cops have procedures to follow because most aren’t intelligent or trustworthy enough to come up with a single thought on their own.

Blue Ash police lied, saying one of the faggots was bitten on both hands. One hand was bitten 17 times and the other was bitten nine times.

The dog was holding on so tight he left one of his teeth in the pussy’s hands.

An officer thought it would be totally fucking hilarious to torture the dog while another officer was holding him, but it did not work, so he said “shoot this little fucker, he’s trying to bite me just because I’m being a cruel SOB”.

Blue Ash police say the officers handled the situation according to department policy, but expects them to be rightfully lynched by the local community. Results of a rape test conducted on the dog have not been released.

  15. Enough About Palin   16 years ago

    Can’t dogs simply be tased?

  16. The Reverend Jesse Jackson   16 years ago

“The Reverend Jesee and the Obamasiah both get their own Friar.”

I did NOT, have sexual relations, with that boy.

  17. Cal Lipigian   16 years ago

To paraphrase Chris Rock, somewhere Michael Vick is asking “Why did I go to jail?”

  18. CoyoteBlue   16 years ago

That officer later explained to the family that he was following procedure.

We’re not allowed to reference Chris Rock here, per TAO.

  21. John   16 years ago

Firing a weapon in public ought to be a big deal. It should only be done when life is at stake. It should never be done to kill a dog unless the dog is killing someone. These dumb fucks put everyone around them’s life in danger. Imagine being killed or wounded by a bullet that richoceted after a cop shot a chihuahua. Assholes.

  22. Episiarch   16 years ago

“Hey, maybe if I throw my coat over this 5 pound dog it will be easier to pick up.”

Don’t be silly, Fluffy. It’s nearly summer. They’re not wearing coats.

  23. Elemenope   16 years ago

    Absolutely.

Firing a weapon in public ought to be a big deal. It should only be done when life is at stake.

Hence, citizen shooting boards might be a good idea.

  24. a cop   16 years ago

    The dog had a gun.

  25. Warty   16 years ago

I think it’s a $500 fine if you discharge a firearm inside city limits around here. It would be pretty rough on their wallets if we made cops obey the law, John. Where’s your compassion?

  26. ClubMedSux   16 years ago

I had the same thought. Initially when I read the story and got to the part where the dog’s tooth actually broke off on the one cop’s hand, I thought, “well, maybe there was a reason to shoot the damn thing.” But then it hit me… How the hell did they even let it get to that point? Whether it be with a dog or a person, it amazes me how many cops are HORRIBLE at diffusing situations. I mean, shouldn’t that be the first quality you look for in a potential police officer?

  27. Xeones   16 years ago

That chihuahua was ten times the man that fucking cop could ever hope to be.

  28. John   16 years ago

You would think so. That and common sense. The cop has pepper spray, a knight stick and his fists to use before he goes for his gun. This cop couldn’t handle a chihuahua without resporting to his gun. That is pretty pathetic.

  29. Enjoy Every Sandwich   16 years ago

Heck, it shouldn’t be necessary to even throw a coat or whatever over the dog; being calm and patient and friendly would be enough. Animals respond to us on an emotional level; I wonder if the cops were afraid of the little fella? On top of being stupid?

  30. Comrade Dread   16 years ago

It helps you to understand it, if you think of all cops as Uncle Jimbo from South Park screaming, “He’s comin’ right at us!”

  31. Enough About Palin   16 years ago

About 20 years ago i worked fo the VP of Communications at a large global corporation. The cities fraternal order of police had a monthly publication and they wanted us to buy ad space. They sent a copy of the publication for review. I read it cover-to-cover; I learned two things:

    1) Cops love to shoot things. Deer, bears, wolves coyotes, dogs, etc. They really get off on it and thoroughly enjoy relating the experience in manly detail.

    2) But most of all they like killing human beings.

  32. Enough About Palin   16 years ago

    cities = city’s

  33. John   16 years ago

As interesting as dog killing cops are, not one post today on the protests in Iran.

  34. Hank   16 years ago

“As interesting as dog killing cops are, not one post today on the protests in Iran.”

    H&R Morning Links:

? The Iranian government detains over a hundred opposition leaders as post-election protests rock the country. Meanwhile, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reversed himself and ordered a probe of election fraud allegations.

  35. Abdul   16 years ago

Sorry everyone, but killing little yappy dogs is prima facie justifiable in my book. It’s too bad that only cops are allowed to have that fun, but that’s just the way it goes. Someday, if we band together, we’ll all be able to take a load of yorkies down to the range.

    “Pull!”

    Arf, arf, arf, ….

    BANG!

  36. GILMORE   16 years ago

from the Danville, VA, Dachshund shooting incident =

Broadfoot said police were trained in a technique to defuse dog threats by essentially emulating canine behavior. Officers were told to stop moving, avert their eyes and roll sideways. But in this week’s incident, Broadfoot said, the dog advanced on McLean too quickly for such a response

“Chief…He got the drop on me and I had to make a move. He saw my eyes!”

Is *lying down* really the appropriate defense against a dog thats like… 6 inches high?

  37. Tulpa   16 years ago

Well, in the cops’ defense, the dachshund was named “Killer”, and if the dog tag was showing I understand how that could disconcert an officer. As for the chihuahua, I see far too many of those things being clandestinely brought into restaurants and bars in special “rat-dog carrying cases” to have any sympathy for them. When those things are lined with Kevlar maybe I’ll be satisfied.

  38. johnl   16 years ago

Ohio police must have read this story about three chihuahuas in Riverside that cornered and held off a cougar. http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-garage-cougar,0,224308.story

  39. TrickyVic   16 years ago

“””That’s too stupid to even be allowed a driver’s license, in my opinion.”””

Yet, they give them guns and authority.
