This Video Didn't Make It To Rep. Eric Cantor's Official Response Page at YouTube…
On January 9, Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) posted a video featuring a family laying in the leaves (watch it if you don't believe it) asking for citizen responses to the stimulus package and what the Republicans should do in the coming congressional session. Here's Reason's response (approxmately 53 seconds):

On January 9, Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) posted a video... what the Republicans should do in the coming congressional session.
They could start by formally apologizing for lying about being the party of free enterprise, limited spending and fiscal responsibility.
Cantor's video "no longer available."
Cantor's video "no longer available."
It's working for me.
Cantor is starting his run against Jim Webb for the Senate in 2012 early, I see.
Then you must be a pol.
Oh, the video. Yes, you fixed it, thx.
This guy Cantor is a Republican?
We are fucked. We are so fucked.
Nick, you've been rickrolled. That isn't Eric Cantor, it's Tina Fey in a business suit.
If you'da left out the Saturday Night Beaver crack......
Hahahahahahahahah LOL at my own stupid joke!
Cereal though, that's probably why he ignored the response.
It's the number one response when I looked.

Whaddya talkin' about Willis?
Apparently the video is there, which makes my response at 8:53 pm MOOT!
We have had eight years (argubaly more) of an administration that has defined "economic strength" solely in terms of consumption, without any regard for where the goods and services came from or how they were paid for.
Now we will have eight years (arguably more) of an adminstration that has defined "economic strength" solely in terms of jobs, without any regard for what those jobs are or how they will be paid for.
And the notion that "economic strength" might, just might, be best defined in terms of production, is dismissed by a Nobel laureate (slumming as a partisan mouthpiece) as "supply side voodoo."
Change we can believe in? Who's "we"?
Is the music at the end of the clip taken from the film mentioned around 00:10?
OK, I made it through 26 seconds of Cantorian crap and 19 seconds of Gillespian garbage before I pulled their respective plugs. I sensed sewage, and I bailed. Was I wrong? Discuss.
Nick pulled it out at the end.
Nick pulled it out at the end.
Still, it wasn't a pretty sight.
Still, it wasn't a pretty sight.
All...brown and sewagey, then?
"Ripe," as they say?
Dear Eric Cantor,
Someone moved your cheese.
Fuck, this guy is my rep.
Does having a PhD in literature transform a reference to a porno into a legitimate means of bolstering ones argument? If I were to tell an old lady that her cookies were spongy and flaccid like John Holmes penis, should I expect more than a very confused look? I'm really starting to wonder why shy hasn't invited me back over.

Dirty thoughts are a weakness, and certainly not an argument.
Thank you Sister.
On an unrelated note, I thought nuns only picked their names from female saints, unless you are part of some new-age transsexual movement, then my apologies.
Yes! Tax cuts! Why didn't I think of that! That's the kind of new innovative thinking we need!
Who cares that bridges are falling down. Roads are crumbling, and we have the worst mass transit infrastructure in the western world.
Dependence on foreign oil? Hell, we still have a military, right?
To hell with all that. Tax Cuts!
Hey, I've got an idea Nick. How about just asking for donations. That's how you stimulate your economy, you slimy market fundamentalist fuck.
Why do you propose 3 people to fill the holes while only 2 to dig? That isn't very efficient. Taylor is surely spinning in his grave. Even GA Tech football players who study Industrial Management can do better than this in designing a hole digging/filling project.Nick must have a Librul Artz degree.

Sister Mary x, where x= Joseph, Clarence, etc, is actually quite a common construction.
The combo Sister Mary Elephant is somewhat rarer. As is Suite Sister Mary.
I thought nuns only picked their names from female saints,...
No. My aunt is a nun in the order of Immaculate Heart of Mary. Her name is Sister [female saint name] David. Perhaps having two male names is rare. I had a grade school nun of the same order called Sister George.
This so-called "libertarian" right-wing shit has never sold very well in the marketplace of ideas, but it's really cooked now. We're going have universal health care and lots of regulations, so shove you market fundamentalism up your ass, you fucking market-worshiping fanatic.

Tax cuts? What about spending cuts? Jesus, no wonder people think we're Republicans who want legal pot.

A policy response video that stars off with a dick joke. Is it ANY wonder that no one outside this echo chamber takes libertarian thought seriously? The thoroughly accurate point made by the END of the video is completely lost due to the sophmoric attempt at humor. Gillespie, you are not NEARLY as clever as you think you are, and a damn poor spokesman for this publication.
Laying in the leaves,
Laying in the leaves,
This caucasian family
Is laying in the leaves.
Who cares that bridges are falling down. Roads are crumbling, and we have the worst mass transit infrastructure in the western world.
And you'll note the conspicuous absence of road and bridge repair (as well as electrical grid and sewer system maintenance) from the list of shovel-ready projects Obama is hawking. Swimming pools and tennis courts as far as the eye can see, though.
Also, I assume you're referring to intercity mass transit...which is impractical given the geographic size and relatively low population density of the US compared to Europe.
Nick, did you write "laying in the leaves"? I hope that's something like "bringing in the sheaves". I hope you didn't mean "lying in the leaves" but were too fucking dumb to write in correctly.*
*And if someone other than Nick wrote this, then they're the fucking dumb one.
...then they're the fucking dumb one
Which fucking means one who cannot speak and has no connection to stupidity.
Why does every libertarian on the planet think he's the Grammar Police?
For X's sake, this isn't a doctoral thesis AND you know WTF Nick means anyway, which is the point of communication.
I know Vanneman is just giving Nick a ration of shit, but still.
Vanneman, like Lefiti, is just an asshole. He can't help but allow is visceral hatred for libertarians seep through.
Apparently, I can't type today. Preempting the grammar and spelling douches.
Go fuck yourself, Jordan
look at all those books behind him he must be really smart
Hole-ownership could reach an all time high. People could live in them. Like hobbits.
Stop screwing up the greatest country in the world by handing everything over to the richest few. This democracy called America is the exception NOT the rule. Societies without democracy have always en-richened the richest few and left the poor without no matter how hard they have worked.
Good!
