I mean, is this really supposed to be funny? It's not even clever.
Blago could stand in for Hugo.
But when was the last one which was?
I do not get it either.
I'm not even going to say it - you know what I'm thinking.
Burris isn't an Obama crony.
Burris isn't a Blagojevich crony.
I don't get it.
Quit agreeing with me out of habit Joe.
Let me be the first to submit some official 2009 performance feedback for Mr. Payne:
"This employee has hit rock bottom and has started to dig"
"Friday Funnies"
Only half true.
January 16, 2009, 7:00am
Looks like someone still didn't have an idea at 6:30 this morning.
Wondering what came first. The meaning less wording or the stupid drawing.
Massively weak. While I enjoy ripping on the Friday Funnies (since they deserve it), I must agree with joe here. Stupid is as stupid does.
Looks like Payne's got a case of Bokkalism. When was the last time we got anything from Bagge?
Can't we do without the "Friday Funnies" and just link to the Onion instead?
Market fundamentalists avoid doing stuff on private sector crooks, don't they? What about Bernie Madoff, you sniveling zealots of confirmation bias fucks?
It's not even a comic - its just some wording with a drawing attached to it. Neither one plays into the other.
Nothing seems to bring this group together like Friday funnies.
why is it a picture of Gillespie? I don't get it.
why is it a picture of Gillespie? I don't get it.
That is supposed to be a leather coat?
If I ever met Henry Payne, I would knee him in the balls.
I'm not laughing at yet another edition of Friday Fail.
Lefiti's 9:33 comment is much, much funnier than this comic.
... you sniveling zealots of confirmation bias fucks C'mon, that's funny. Grammatical nonsense, but funny and evocative.
Lefiti's like Kerouac sometimes.
You don't understand what he writes, so much as feel it.
If I ever met Henry Payne, I would knee him in the balls.
He can retract them into his body like a ninja. All comic drawers can. Punch him in the throat instead.
If that bumper sticker read "You sniveling zealots of confirmation bias fucks," this comic would have actually been funny.
yeah - I got distracted, but I was going to say what joe said about how Leftiti is funnier than the commic.
I have plenty of laughs here every week, and none of them come from Friday Funnies... hmmm
Punch him in the throat instead.
Stab him in the eye with your mechanical pencil.
Better yet, stab him in the eye with his mechanical pencil.
Is this a paid gig?
I feel I could do better and I can't draw for shit.
Can't we do without the "Friday Funnies" and just link to the Onion instead?
Will do.
(The related story graphic alone is funnier than any "Friday Funnies" segment ever.)
How about if the bumper sticker reads:
Become a Senator now!
Ask me how!
Taking off on the Herbalife slogan. (OK, it would have been funnier weeks ago, but it's still better....)
Redo the cartoon, with quotes from the FBI tapes:
"Bleep you."
"Don't give those bleeping people bleep."
"Consideration? Bleep that!"
"Bleep it, I'll apoint (redacted.)"
Joe,
How is it grammatical nonsense? "Fucks" is a noun, you illiterate fuck.
