McCain Touts Endorsement of HGH Smuggler
That would be Sylvester Stallone. Rolling Stone explains:
…does anyone else find it incongruous that McCain, who has held Senate hearings on steroids in baseball, and just last month shamed the Rocket for his alleged Human Growth Hormone use — "I'm very disappointed with Roger Clemens" — is now locking arms with Sly Stallone?
This is the same Stallone, after all, who was convicted in Australia last May for illegally importing human growth hormone and testosterone into that country — including 48 vials of an HGH drug banned in the U.S.
Rocky's unapologetic about it, too:
"HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."
Because it is nearly undetectable, HGH has become a substance of great concern in major league baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.
"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says. "Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter."
He's right. HGH is a kind of miracle drug, and the fuss over it is silly. Maybe he can talk some sense into McCain.
reason on McCain. reason on steroids. reason on McCain on steroids.

Rambo's kills should have an asterix! Thus making Ahnolds' "Commando" massacre-count the highest in film.
"Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."
well, technically, he's right. HGH is a peptide hormone, not a steroid hormone.
However, Stallone is still a long-irrelevant moron.
However, Stallone is still a long-irrelevant moron.
I don't know, he was alright in Copland. I'm just wondering how much mileage McCain receives from a Hollywood endorsement.
In the eyes of the Repub base, is Stallone the savior of Vietnam narratives, or is he just another Hollywood heathen boffing leggy blonds?
Judging by the previews to his new Rambo movie, I'd say Sly was on to something.
Controls probably wouldn't've been put on HGH possession (strangely, in the FFDCA rather than the CSA) were it not for the idea, prevalent before recombinant manufacture came on line, of rationing the scarce drug so that only those who really, really needed it would get it.
Rambo's kills should have an asterix!
The gaul of this statement is outrageous!
stallone is a not a moron. he's actually a pretty bright guy, a good actor and a good director. but because he has a speech impediment and (sometimes) plays pro-american action hero guy AND has muscles (elitists equate muscles with lack of intelligence), he gets slagged.
he's created (fictional) icons like rocky and rambo, he's a successful businessman, and if you've ever seen some interviews with him - he's really a smart and witty guy.
calling stallone irrelevant is absurd. he's created characters that will live forever. he's also done stuff currently like his last rocky movie which got both critical and box office acclaim. his newest rambo is also doing well (since its opening yesterday).
stallone, like arnold, has had to fight the bigotry that most people have towards muscularity. while it's no longer ok to associate ignorance with race or gender, associating it with muscularity is an (unfounded bigotry) that people still feel comfortable engaging in.
based on his physique, it's near certain that stallone uses some sort of exogenous AAS and/or HGH (or LR IGF and/or other greymarket equivalents).
it's nearly impossible, even for an extremely genetically gifted athlete to have that level of muscularity and low bf at his age.
he could be getting his drugs legally via prescription or illegally, but i'd make a bet he's "on."
of course i thought the same about marion jones years ago. it is also nearly impossible to be an elite sprinter w/o performance enhancing drugs. all sports scientists KNOW this, but the public doesn't.
Why pick on Mccain for accepting the endorsement? It's Stallone making it that exudes hypocrisy.
Stallone is stupid, marginally retarded dumbass actor. He's a perfect fit for McQeeg. They're both tyrannical dicks.
whit,
If you can't be an elite sprinter without being 'on' then why does Ron Bailey keep telling us that P-E drugs don't make a real difference?
I AM THE LAW
Wasn't Demolition Man a libertarian fave?
...elitists equate muscles with lack of intelligence...
...what?
I realize they aren't the same for everybody so I figured I'd post the ads by Google appearing next to comments:

I just saw the latest Rambo flick, 90 minutes of pumped-up goodness. Whatever he's doing, he needs to keep it up.
Has anybody noticed an increased spring in McCain's step since he started hanging out with Rambo?

The french of this statement is outrageous? huh?
I am surprised politicians don't consider using performance related stimulants.
Its hard to shake hands and kiss babies for 18 hours and then deliver a speech or perform well in a debate. You would think drugs that improved alertness besides caffeine would be used to achieve that effect. There was that study that found a surprisingly large percentage of scientists used amphetamines to improve productivity and alertness.
It would be funny if Obama is using the "quitting smoking" as a ruse to have a dozen nicotine patches covering his lower body.
innominate one--
Google "Asterix the Gaul" and you'll get it.
Hainault--
How do you know they don't? Amphetamines have a bit of a bad rap these days, but stuff like Provigil is fairly easy to get a scrip for, and still respectable.
I guess Stallone is one of the few Hollywood celebrities not associated with the drug-hating Scientology.
Chuck - thanks
"If you can't be an elite sprinter without being 'on' then why does Ron Bailey keep telling us that P-E drugs don't make a real difference?"
i really don't want to get into a long wank about sports performance, AAS, etc. but i'll try to explain the basics.
first of all you have to understand that for many YEARS the medical establishment claimed the AAS etc. had no effect apart from placebo. the studies were absurd (extremely low dose, no additional protein, etc.) but the official stance of the AMA for decades AFTER sports scientists realized the performance boosts, was that these were all illusory. this attitude, to some extent, still exists today. note i say : "attitude" because it is not science based, any more than some of the hysteria surrounding MJ is science based (especially back in the reefer madness days).
elite sprinters are elite LARGELY because of genetics. if you don't have an exceptionally high genetic component of type II-a/b/x fibers, you will never be very good, let alone elite. you can train fast twitch fibers to act like slow twitch (and even convert in a sense) by increased mitochondrization, etc. but you cannot train a slow person to be fast.
i've competed in power sports (mostly olympic style weightlifting) and every coach and athlete knows this. you can IMPROVE power/speed, but explosive speed is about the LEAST trainable of athletic abilities - vs. endurance, limit strength (so called slow strength), flexibility, etc.
when you reach levels of ELITE performance, even an incremental increase in speed .05 seconds in a 100m sprint can make ALL the difference.
AAS will not turn a 11 sec 100m sprinter into a 10 sec 100m (the former would be very mediocre for a male, the latter will be elite), but it will help an elite athlete get an edge. it will be less of an edge than a strength athlete would see from AAS (because limit strength is much more trainable than explosive strength), but still enough of an edge to make a difference when hundreths of a second can mean the difference between gold and nothing.
as an example of the genetic component of sprinting, read "taboo" by entine. this gets into many genetic components of sprinting, to include racial components. west african black males have done every single sub 10 sec 100m time in sprinting ever (at the time of publication) despite being a relatively small percentage of the world population. not a single asian sub 10 second sprinter or white sub 10 second sprinter. and 484/500 of the top 100 meter times were all west african origin black males (east africans tend to be sucky at sprinting fwiw but do quite well in distance).
as an example of the trainability of explosive strength, note that endurance training SERIOUSLY erodes vertical jump (an excellent test of explosive strength), but explosive training from baseline does not offer that much more jump, so to speak. it's MOSTLY genetic, and is one of the key factors that olympic lifting coaches look for in potential stars. nicu vlad, at 230 lbs bodyweight, had a standing vertical of about 4 ft to give you an idea of how explosive an elite athlete is.
so, it is true that AAS (or HGH or any performance enhancer) will NOT make a slow person fast. NOTHING will. because you can't create fast twitch fibers. (i won't get into hyperplasia or fiber splitting here but that statement is generally true). you can, through preferential rate coding, increase your ability to fire fast twitch fibers efficiently, which is a huge component of speed and explosiveness.
AAS offer a # of benefits to increase explosiveness and speed... among those are...
preferential ability to improve rate coding etc. this is especially true of drugs like winstrol (stanazolol) which is the drug that ben jonson tested positive for. that's because drugs with lower aromatization rates preferentially increase strength per unit of hypertrophy (size increase). a bb'er would care more about size, but a sprinter needs to get as explosive as possible per unit of mass added, for obvious reasons - excess weight needs to be carried over a distance. "bulk" is not beneficial.
AAS also improve recovery time (allowing for more training to occur). they help improve neuromuscular efficiency (most laymen fail to understand the neurological components of strength. they don't understand also the limiting aspects of golgi and spindle actions where the body tries to protect itself by limiting exertion well below theoretical max levels. training to overcome and raise the golgi and spindle reflect limitations can instantly give extra strength with NO additional muscle mass. )
i'm not going to get too into my bona fides here, but suffice it to say i have trained with some of the most elite weightlifters in the country (and no, i am not elite myself), and many of the older coaches were also coaching in the "Drug era" when AAS use was much easier due to lack of testing etc.
nobody who is honest, and who has experience training strength athletes, or who IS a strength athlete and has experience with AAS denies that they improve performance.
elite athletes are already near the tail of the human performance curve. so, at their elite level, AAS will actually offer less of a RELATIVE boost in performance than a middling athlete (it's an asymptote thang. you approach theoretical limits, its harder to make incremental gains). but at those levels, even incremental gains in performance are very REAL despite what bailey claims.
that's because hundreths of a second are VERY real when they mean the difference between gold and silver, bronze, or no placing
The outcome of the GOP presidential nomination should be determined by a 3-way caged match between Stallone, Chuck Norris and WWE wrestler, Kane.
"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says."
The scariest thing about this is that Stallone's self image is inextricably tied to having a neck the size and texture of a giant redwood.
Abdul,
Being strong and muscular feels good. There's nothing wrong about that, in fact there's a lot that's positive about it.
I turned 39 Sunday. My body, unlike the vast majority of people I know/work with, Looks and feels young due to weight training. I don't see many positives about being weak and saggy. It certainly won't be a benefit in many life or death situations- having to carry a 200lb man out of a fire etc.
I didn't THINK many Americans would slurp the robot on Asterix and Obelix, but it really made me smile.
On that track, how many people realize the POETIC ramifications of basing a psychologically tortured war veteran on the great French romantic poet Rimbaud? I mean "Rambo" is such an OBVIOUS allusion!
I use the Dr. Max Powers HGH Spray - It works perfectly - just a warning that it takes about 5-7 days to really feel the effects (with the best effects coming on at about the 3 week and beyond). I found that the product works wonders with only 2 sprays twice per day (morning and evening) on a 12 week cycle (1-2 weeks off after this to allow your body to rebound and rest a little) - but your mileage may vary. ;o)
Personally, I do very intense weight training 3 times per week (Chest/Biceps, Back/Triceps, Legs/Shoulders - combined with cardio) and this has helped immensely in gaining strength in both concentric and eccentric lifts, over muscle growth (hypertrophy), and fast loss (works wonders for this). It also has many other good effects like increased vitality, increased skin elasticity and "glow", increased mental concentration, increased sex drive, etc. etc. - all the things we associate with "Youth". Basically, this product as close to real prescribed hGH that you can buy without a prescription.
I have tried other HGH sprays - not crazy about them, but i recommend the Dr. Max Powers . . you can find them at http://www.drmaxpowers.com
after 10 years huh?!--- He said so.. Let's just see.. đŸ™‚
Researchers claim that the levels of HGH in our body start to decrease at approximately age 30. Our levels keep decreasing at a constant rate as the years go by. As a matter of fact, many experts think that our HGH levels go down by at least 80 % over the years.
Whether and now think it is necessary to accept it till 30 years, after 40 precisely costs. HGH it is not obligatory to prick is also HGH Oral
