Scenes from the Radicals for Capitalism Tour
Brian Doherty, E.J. Dionne and David Boaz just wrapped up that panel on Radicals for Capitalism, trading barbs and sharing the wisdom of the libertarian (and liberal) ancients with an overflow crowd. After the event, Doherty ran into Jerry Tuccille, that other chronicler of libertarian history and the author of It Usually Begins With Ayn Rand. Photographic evidence:

Thank G_d he wore a shirt this time!
I had always wondered who was the inspiration for Popeye.
His Amazon sales are still falling. He should have gone with a low cut backless number.
...and Wimpy.
Now can you tell me when this will be available on the Cato Institute Events podcast?
Please.

Give em a week or two.
highnumber,

Thanks, Drew!
I look forward to listening to it.
Wow. Tuccille and Doherty together, and Reasonoid Dave Weigel on hand to take the picture. How do such things get arranged?
Blood diamonds!
Is it just me, or does Doherty look like a great guy to get drunk with?
He is, just as long as he doesn't eat any spinach.
...and keeps his shirt on, right?
Is that Jerome, Sr. or Jerry, Jr.? I haven't seen either in a while.
I heard the first half this morning in the car. Brian, wow, you ran through your first part quickly. I am looking forward to reading the book. Will the book tour take you to Chicago? Would you call this a book tour?
Damn, you guys are mean. Tuccille does look a little bit like Popeye, but you can tell from his book that he's got a great sense of humor. And Doherty just looks like a good source of wry, dry humor.
Is it just me, or does Doherty look like a great guy to get drunk with?
Absolutely.
[As long as he] keeps his shirt on, right?
That too. That said, I used to work with a guy who went through a period where he removed his shirt at every opportunity, and he was freaking hilarious.
