Another effect of the controversial Hugo Chavez UN speech is a big rise in Amazon rankings for Noam Chomsky (the paperback of his Hegemony or Survival is number one right now–and simultaneously the hardcover of the same book is number nine), whom Chavez chidingly recommended Americans read instead of "watching Superman movies." If he means the disappointing Superman Returns, I can only concur with the new number one foe of my nation; if he means the Reeve versions, I will give him III and IV: The Quest for Peace.
