Selling The Airport Panopticon

The anti-RFID crusaders at spychips.com present what they say is a demo concept video for the TSA, showing them how RFIDs, like the kind that will be in all our passports soon, can be used to track us sinisterly through our entire airport experience. While the Orwellianness of it all is certainly creepy, perhaps even more disturbing, if these bozos will in fact be hired by TSA to help roll out anything from new surveillance techniques to a hot dog cart, is how many typos and grammar errors litter this video.

Here's how the same company, CompEx, promises that RFIDs and its networking genius can be used in enforcing traffic laws in the horrible World of Tomorrow.

Other people have pointed out that RFID tags can be used to trigger a bomb when an American passport passes by.

I love their screenshots for the "Trafficlinx Vehicle Identification System." Is that really what it'd look like? I thought the only computer system that looked like that was the Movie Operating System.
